We enjoyed the hospitality, the professionality and the with passion prepared entercôte. The serving were even for us hungry guest enough. I should not write a positive comment @ Tripadvisor, because a reservation becomes even more a must ;-)

Fantastic location on top of a small mountain. Stunning views of the villages and the river in the valley!! The food was very heavy and not so interesting, but the place is worth a visit.

This restaurant is worth a visit for the panoramic views over the town, river, and neighbouring countryside from the renovated Castle. Unfortunately, the food on offer is good rather than excellent and greatly over-priced.

A great place to dine. The view over Stein, the Rhine and the Untersee is fantastic and unique. The castle was renovated a few years ago and is worth a quick visit in it's own right. Service rapid and the food was fine.

It is not so common that such a view can be enjoyed over such a sumptuous dinner. The view over Stein am Rhein is simply superb. The castle setting adds charm. The food sensational. The service proper without being OTT. It's an absolute must for any visitor to the area. Nothing could be faulted.

From the castle you can see all of Stein am Rhein plus up and down the Rhine valley. You can drive to the base of the castle or if very energetic you can climb up the path all the way from the village below. The castle has a wonderful example of adaptive reuse of an historic site. The restaurant is... More

If you are ever in Stein am Rhein, follow the signs and drive to this castle to enjoy the wonderfull view of the town from above! If you are lucky, you will get a place in the restaurant and have a nice meal or a cup of tee with the Alps in a background!
