from a menu offering basic pub food I chose fish and chips. The batter around the fish was so thick and crunchy totally overpowering what was left of the fish inside. Both the batter and fish was dry and almost inedible. there was only a small amount of chips. This was not good value for money.

This was a popular inn for walkers serving mainly traditional fare to a good standard. As I had not visited for some time I decided to lunch there today. Big mistake, the inn has changed hands Gone were the odd assortment of old tables and chairs which had been replaced with mainly metal furniture. Gone too was the cosy atmosphere that... More

We dined here with friends and had excellent service. The Inn has been completely re-furnished and is a great place for dog walkers to drop in for a snack and pint. However we feel the evening menu was very limited and two out of the four 'specials' were not available further reducing choices. The food was adequate but not very... More

I took my mum here for mother days and she loved it. She doesn't normally like going out for roast dinners, but she absolutely loved the veg and how it was all presented. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing as well, especially the sauce. Would definitely recommend a visit. The Location is also lovely and picturesque.

Fantastic service from the Canadian girl (sorry didnt catch your name) roast dinners were ok, what made them odd is there are different herbs used in all the veg so you had thyme in one, rosemary in another it was too much, also apple sauce and horseradish were odd keep it simple!! I agree with someone else's comments your wine... More

Came here recently as stopping in the area. The Inn is very nice and modern and situated in a picturesque valley. The food was very nice, perhaps a limited menu, but good quality certainly. Decent selection of real ales and the staff very great. Also allow dogs in which was a bonus for us. Not a regular to the area,... More
