Sadly our first time at this pub was for a wake after my sister's funeral at the nearby church. The pub has a room which although adjacent to the small bar, was for our private use. The buffet provided was superb; a good range of food, well-presented with tea and coffee as required. Price was also affordable and within budget.... More

Popped in here for Sunday lunch and were told no tables fir at least 30 minutes despite several being empty. A waitress then told us a table was free, left us with menus then brought our drinks. Had to wait a while for our food, but the pub and garden were busy as it was such a nice day. Eventually... More

Travelling south down the A1M we decided to find this place as we'd heard the food was good and it's only a couple of minutes from the motorway. We did the right thing, the staff were very friendly and looked after us really well, there was a good feeling about the place and we look forward to returning to their... More

Not a bad pub and the staff seemed friendly enough. Food was fine when it eventually arrived, but it took a really long time... it was Saturday afternoon and there were only 3other tables occupied, so not busy. My friend order a veg lasagna and about 40mins later we were told there was none, so reordered. Took well over an... More

The staff were rude. I'm a terrible terrible cook but have prepared food that has tasted better than this muck that was served up. Really disappointing. I certainly would not recommend this establishment for food.

Came here as a last minute dinner out and we werent disappointed. Food was lovely and very filling. Nice variety to choose from off the meal also. Staff were also friendly and helpful. We were really impressed. Lovely to have a decent pub in the village again and look forward to our next trip.

We came here today for a late lunch, it was delicious. Staff friendly. Hubby and I had burgers, he had a beef one and I had minted lamb burger, it was really lovely. We will definitely go back.

A lovely friendly country pub serving delicious food prepared on the premises. My slow cooked beef short rib was cooked to perfection, it was melt in the mouth with a lovely deep, rich flavour. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit!
