Le Jardin des Cheminots - perfect setting for delicious food! We took the menu of the day starting with a sweet potato soup with peanuts topped with parma ham, then a beetroot carpaccio with goats cheese on toast. Whilst staying at the Ambassador Hotel my wife and I opted to eat here and it was by far the best meal I think we have had in Switzerland. French style, nice menu and well presented tasty food. We both very much enjoyed it. And,...by Swiss standards not that expensive, we had starter, mains and drinks for £75. If visiting again we would certainly use this restaurant again.More

I’m terribly late to write this review but I must do it, due to the excellent food served in this nice Restaurant. This is without a doubt the restaurant where I ate the best meat dishes in 25 years of visits to Switzerland. Also noteworthy...is the wine list, which includes some really special Burgundies at fair prices. This time we were in the grill and we were served a marvelous tender, tasty roast suckling pig. We were completely satisfied with the kindness of the staff and the skill of the chef. Finally the Ambassador Hotel, in which the Restaurant is located, is noteworthy, with comfortable, modern and quiet rooms, managed by the owner Family in an affable and prompt manner.More

Very good service, nice ambience in the restaurant, the food was ok. 3 of us ate game. the portions were huge. Everything was mixed together.
Highly recommend this great little restaurant - one of the best in Valais! Had the lamb, escargot and the chocolate lava cake!
