Welcoming guests from all over the world at our chalet in the middle of the heart of the old town in Brig gives us great joy everyday. Great traditional food and drinks at a fair without frills has been our guiding principals at Steakhouse Eidgenossen for almost 30 years. Besides our beloved steaks from the charcoal grill, the Eidgenossen menu offers a fine selection of the Swiss cusisine. To complement enjoy delicious wines from the regional vineyards. It would be our pleasure to welcome you at Steakhouse Eidgenossen. Family Claudia & Peter Witschi-Biaggi

Dinner with friends, uncomplicated steakhouse serving some of the best steaks in the area. Grilled on an open fire just makes the meat so much better. Great wine selection an all round great evenings dining.

Good place to have a good choice of steak at reasonable prices. Most of us had the Tagesteller, pork steak with french fries and vegetables and a choice of either soup or salad. The pea soup and steak were excellent. Dinner came with a herbal...butter sauce which helped to season the rather bland vegetables and fries. The roast beef was very cold, with tartar sauce and french fries. It looked rather plain without any trimming. The staff was friendly and attentive.More

Whilst on a railway journey around Switzerland recently we had some spare time, after a stunning trip on the Glacier Express, before our next connection to Kandersteg. Craving something other than chicken or pork with a sauce, I asked for recommendations in the local tourist...information office. The delightful young lady provided a couple of options but she said this was her "go to favourite"... so off we went. Although we arrived a little bit prior to service, they made us most welcome while we waited for the owner/chef arrived. A welcome beer duly arrived whilst we decided on what size of steak to order! Superbly cooked and delicious entrecote steaks arrived together with fries and salad much to our combined delight. Delicious. we also selected a local red wine, Chateau Lichten, to help was the meal down. Best bottle of wine that we'd had all week!It was excellent to see locals in either eating or having a beer whilst playing board games of all things. All the staff were most helpful and as we discovered during our Swiss stay, polite and friendly! Can't recommend it highly enough!More

Had a beautiful dinner, excellent steak with trimmings. Cooked to perfection. Allegedly known as a very good steak house. Was recommended by several locals.

Based upon Trip Advisor reviews we dined here tonight. The veal sausage and pork dinners were both terrific, especially when paired with a couple local wines. Nice environment, excellent service, prices about what you would expect in Brig ($52 for two meals and two glasses...of wine). We would definitely eat here againMore

Wow, you can choose what type of steak you would like and the size, then they cook it on an open fire. You can choose from a variety of side, the chips were great and the jacket potatoes. Service was outstanding, please ensure you book...as very popularMore

As it's game season in Switzerland most Restaurants have 'game' on their menu, the selection was fantastic and very traditional. Located just off the main square the setting is typical Swiss and the food and service were both excellent.

Very photogenic spot. My lamb chops were quite good. The gamay wine was delicious, but a short pour. Paul's horse steak was so-so. It's switzerland, so a bit pricy (68).

Nice service and food. Not high end but good. We had the specials, there are a lot of meat choices (horse!) but we did the normal.

Visited with my family 2 nights ago on recommendation of TripAdvisor reviews. In agreement with most reviews that the charcoal-grilled meats are delicious with smoky taste. No need any sauce to eat with. Well marinated. Cosy restaurant, less than 5 mins walk behind Victoria Hotel.
