Overall food quality was ok, nothing spectacular. We had the grill plate with enough different well-cooked but a bit too salty. The vegetarian goat cheese / rice patties was fine with a bit too much balsamic sauce. The salmon was very good, tomato rice a bit too gluey. Service was good. We were a bit surprised about the small kitchen... More

A semi-local recommendend this one in case you should find yourself hungry in Speyer. We were not disappointed. Friendly staff, good beer (don't be fooled by the Eichbaum, tastes boring), and excellent hungarian and local meals. Kesselgulasch is a must try. It fires up each taste receptor you possibly have and you are ready to go for any of the... More

The food was as you might expect from a place like this in the center of a tourist city. It was good, but not outstanding. What made the visit for us was the friendly service. They were willing to adapt a few dishes and made little jokes with the children. All in all I would recommend the place, but I... More

Best restaurant EVER!!!! Mind = Blown already, the service, the bacon wrapped dates, the bread, the wine... haven't even eaten my meal yet. Lamb chops, rosemary croquettes and bacon wrapped asparagus on the way :)

This is a cozy little restaurant with excellent food. They have a large variety of dishes so everyone should find something to eat there. The staff was super friendly as well.

My wife is not a huge fan of a German cuisine. She prefers lighter options or Mediterranean fare. She loved this place, even though it was everything she usually doesn't prefer. This is a beautiful old half-timbered building. The cuisine highlighted local specialties from the Pfalz, beautifully executed. If you're sightseeing in Speyer, stop in . You won't be disappointed.... More

We used to go to this restaurant when I was stationed in Heidelberg as it was always worth the drive. It still is. We just visited after a five year break from Germany. The food is still great. The place is still cozy. And the staff is is great. I just had the roasted goose for a Christmas lunch and... More
