Great Real Italian Food With Wonderful Service

14 of us stayed at a hotel around the corner from this restaurant. Tony put a large table together for us and served us some of the best Italian food I have ever had. He is a great host - and fun.

Amazing dinner, simple with 2 pizzas and a dessert, but with a lot of quality. Also an amazing service from the owner. If you like typical Italian cuisine it’s a place you should try in freising!!

Excellent Italian restaurant near Munich airport

Excellent food , great service and friendly staff. Very close to Munich airport if you want a good dinner before or after a flight.

Friendly at 1st. Food took a very long time to get. Food was acceptable. We sat with empty plates in front of us for a half hour with no service and no bill. We then asked for the bill. The owner proceeded to serve drinks to the table on our right, drinks to the table on our left, then served a couple table dessert and then drinks again to the table on our right. Then went back into the front area Still no bill after 10 more minutes We had to get up and go to the front and ask for our bill for the 2nd time The owner got mad at us and threw the bill at us. NO WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS!

A Wonderful Respite

After a frustrating day of travel, my daughter and I discovered Ristorante da Tony only a ten-minute walk from our disappointment of a hotel (Marriott). We were instantly and warmly welcomed by Tony. He asked just the right questions of us while going over the menu and specials to determine what "comfort food" he could provide. He brought the perfect wine, exactly the appetizer that would compliment the meals we'd chosen, and hearty plates of pasta -- exactly what we needed to improve the day. His gracious hospitality is even more appreciated than the wonderful meal. We look forward to telling friends to be sure to visit this special place!

Bad experience

I ordered a pizza with buffalo mozzarella, but it tasted like normal pizza cheese. I told the owner (who made the pizza in person) about it, but he just say "the most important is the taste". After such a similar answer, I did not complain anymore and I just paid, but I am aware that it was not buffalo mozzarella. I am Italian and I could taste the difference. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are not familiar with Italian food.

Return visit to Da Tonys since last year and it didn't disappoint

Came back here after having a lovely meal last year and it didn't disappoint. There is now an outside area upstairs which was nicer than sitting down next to the carpark. The food was as good as I remembered, tomato and mozarella to start and pasta for the main. Definitely worth a visit. Ten minute walk from the Marriot.

Delicious meal

I was there with my parents in early 2016. Freising in February is very cold but the staff and the food were heartwarming. This place doesn't have high pretensions but its authenticity made us doubt for a moment that we were in Germany. I would recommend it to anyone!

every time we were there, its phantastic authetic and very high quality in food and freshness. I can full recommend this restaurant! And please do not only order Pizza, they have much more to offer. doesnt mean pizza is bad, not at all but the pasta they have is high score for me!

Traveling late so i stayed at the hotel next door, this restaurant was 20 ft away so made sense, very good food, very small and busy so expected a wait but not too bad, prices ok as well.

Nice Italian place, good service

We had a good time at this small restaurant in Freising. This place is really vegetarian-friendly, the person in charge was very helpful in explaining the veg options on the menu and even offered to prepare some dishes without meat. Very warm service and attitude. The soup was very tasty. Main course was just ok as well. Overall good place.

Great food, friendly staff. Ten mins from the Marriott hotel.

Visited this restuarant whilst staying in the Marriott which is ten minute walk away after a friend recommended it and I wasn't disappointed. Small outside eating area which was great, Pinot Grigio wine, paste and bread. Delicious. Would go back. If you're staying at the Marriott take a right out of the hotel to the end of the road and then along to the left two minutes.

Is good really good

If your reading this is because you want to eat good food. Dont look any other place. I had pasta as starter and pizza after. The pasta was cooked al dente as it should be. The pizza was tuna pizza and the crust i think was made in heaven.

Ended up at Da Tony by coincidence, but did not regret. Great food, great atmosphere and friendly service. Not a lot to chose from, but good quality and a homemade touch on the dishes. Would have liked a wider selection of wines. Also a very affordable place. Recommended!
