The Hofbrauhaus-Keller is located just behind the Count's Hofbrauhaus. We combine traditional cuisine with creative ideas and quality with culinary delights. Our restaurant is well known for a cuisine with regional requirements. In the stylish ambience of our restaurant we serve both well-tried and fresh culinary ideas. In addition to the guest rooms and the Brauerstube, are a hall for company and family celebrations up to 150 people. In summer, a terrace and a large beer garden under chestnut trees offers plenty of space to enjoy the proverbial Bavarian way of life.

Fantastic Dinner

Came here on a rainy night, and got a cozy seat by a window inside. My husband and I tried a variety of different dishes, we had the wienerschnitzel, white sausage, and strudel. Everything we had was very delicious and tasty. We don't speak a word of German, but the waiter was very accommodating and really went out of his way to help us figure out the menu, he was great! Overall, really great food, beers, and atmosphere, wouldn't hesitate to come back again!

Recommend a visit!!

Always busy not only with tourists but also with locals - says a lot about how popular this restaurant is!! Staff were excellent and served us promptly. Our food choices were freshly made and brought to our table hot. Excellent choices of local (Bavarian) meals and some vegetarian options as well. Highly recommend.

Very nice restaurant and beer garden

My wife and I spent a few days in Freising. We spent time here in both the restaurant and beer garden. We found both to be very nice. Food was very good, beer was great and service was solid. Prices were in line with other restaurants in Freising. Overall, a very enjoyable facility.

Local German restaurant

Came here with my coworkers for a nice German dinner. The restaurant had plenty of seats. Was really hoping for a pork knuckle but we ended up with a delicious pork dish. The bathrooms was huge. The prices were good

Very good food, excellent beer

Family visit on Thursday evenning, the place was full. Live music, jazz, to my positive surprise, the band was decent and the whole atmosphere was cheerful. Staff is friendly, food was very good, the beer was excellent. I am not giving it top marks because they do not accept credit/debit cards, cash only. It might be acceptable in Germany, but I still find it strange.

Good quality food in cosy surroundings

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Freising and enjoyed good quality food in cosy surroundings. Portions are of a good size and there’s a good selection of different wines and beers to try. Service is prompt and efficient.

Long layover in Munich Airport

My husband and I were delighted to find this restaurant online and then have lunch there during our 5 hr. Layover in Munich. Great food and great Biergarten. Takes 15-20 mins. from MUC. Taxi is about 28 euro each way—more than our meal.

Enjoyed an evening in the Biergarten

We chose to eat in the Biergarten, where they have cheap food and you serve yourself. First of all, the beer was absolutely amazing and our foreign visitors enjoyed it so much. We had a Radler Mass (nice and refreshing), a Weizenbier (one of the best I have ever had) and then a Weizen Bock, to give them a taste of stronger beer as well. The food was also beyond expectation. They have a small container, where they prepare everything for you and you wouldn't think that the quality is so good. The fries were crisp and tasty, the salad as well, only the jacked potato was a bit boring. The spare ribs were perfect and the curry sausages as well! We also ordered some Bierkäse and Brezn, which our guests enjoyed a lot. We enjoyed this experience a lot and for someone who is well acquainted to Bavarian cuisine, the kitchen exceeded my expectations!

Nice terrace

Not to be confused with out Hofbrau's, this one is in Freising and serves (fortunately) the local brew. Classical biergarten with a nice terrace in good weather. Modest food options.

Pizza and beer in the sunshine

Grabbed a table out the front and ordered beers and pizza. Weather was warm and sunny, waiter was good fun for us four English guys, and tables around us were chatty about the World Cup. Beer was great, pizzas were hot and good quality, overall a good couple of hours and good value.

The Outside Terrace is Great place to eat and drink

Lucky enough to get a table outside on the front Terrace. This area is Waiter service. Good beer, reasonable wine and great food. Note: There is a bigger area outside at the back which is self service.

Fabulous Experience

Great restaurant a reasonable walk from our hotel - Marriott. I decided on a special item on the menu and it was the best meal in Germany during my visit (goose, purple cabbage, potato). Great spot next to the brewery so of course the beer is on spot. Cheers!

This is not the kind of place it is used to be last year. Disgusting food, probably the worst in Bavaria, the servise was horible, do they speak german or english? It is a nice garden but there is many such in this area with all the good stuff you dont find here.
