The atmosphere is unique. We keep coming back drawn by the beautiful dining area, its warm lights, and the great traditional Friulan food. Distance between tables gives you privacy. Whatever the season, ask for the "specials of the day" (asparagus, mushrooms, radicchio, artichokes, ..) and you won't go wrong.

Perfect meat and wonderful surprising dishes in a great atmosphere lead by two sisters and extremely friendly, but very hard and effective working service and kitchen. In Addition to this they have very spacious and functioning rooms.

We had a lunch with friends that often go to Al Grop. What marvelous experience. Il primo was great: Sam Daniele, home mass pastas, risotto. Everything was perfect. The same with Secondo: salsica, lamb, veal.... And dessert at the end. We really enjoyed and certainly we will be back soon.

We ate there on a Sunday that was during asparagus fest in Tavagnacco. The restaurant was extremely busy. I had an asparagus risotto that was the best I've ever had. That was followed by a spectacularly good Quail with asparagus. My wife ate Guanciale which was also great. The service was perfect and the restaurant which has existed for 200... More

We arrived for lunch at about 2, and the place was ful (did not have a reservation). Were seated after 5-8 minutes. The place is quite big, so service was a bit slow, but you can't blame them. Has an extensive wine list, including some really rare French wines (chateau Petrus of different years), with a wide range of prices:... More

We were in Friuli and ended up in this restaurant just by chance. What a treat! We could not have had more luck! There were only two tables free... So I guess next time we better make a reservation. The dishes were absolutely delicious. The wines, so my husband said( I don't drink) were very good. The service was lovely.... More

the accomodation was a definite highlight, would not have expected that a hotel would be situated in such a small town/neighborhood. I recommend you try the mushroom appetizer, i can still remember the taste of it after 5 days. It was my time to try out rabbit....noooot to my liking. but the view from the terrace waiting for the sun... More

Excellent regional food, atmosphere and service with the family flavour, where the old lady is there, still checking if everything is all right! The pork stinco is perfect! And Ms.Simona taking a good care of the nice reception and organization. We stayed at the Locanda, a very convenient (and very well equiped) spot to let you eat and dine with no... More

Description
For five generations, the restaurant Al Grop in Tavagnacco has been in the hands of Del Fabbro family. The family took over the restaurant in the middle of the 19th century. Now the sisters Simona and Silvia are at the helm. Al Grop has made asparagus its culinary trademark but cusine here is not just about asparagus, the culinary repertory is a real bulwark of Friulian tradition. A restaurant with a warm family atmosphere. For guests six charming suites.
