The moment we walked in we felt welcomed by the staff. The food was sensational and all reasonably priced. Great atmosphere with log fire and candles on table. Will definitely be back. Well done guys

Let’s see… I get there the customer service wasn’t that great. The young man that took my order took it wrong and said do I want the quesadilla I said no the nachos like I ordered. The meat was from a can, the Long Island...I ordered tasted like apples and had apples and orange in it. It’s not authentic at all and just not worth it disappointingMore

Headed up to Chapel St looking for something and found Jalisco. Seriously good mexican food, Street Corn, Stuffed Jalapenos, Tiger Prawn Fajita and Beef Tacos. All washed down with a very nice sangria.

Good for Australia, we're getting more and more Mexican restaurants, but bad for Australia that they all seem to be doing the same thing. While the tacos offer the most variety, our hopes were on the enchiladas, which were just so-so. This said, the service...was GREAT as were the margaritas, so it wasn't a total loss. Definitely worth the stop, but don't expect the world.More

Friendly staff, uncomplicated and reasonably priced menu. Good start! Had stuffed Jalapeños followed by rump steak fajitas and salad. Tasted good and we sat outside people watching as we ate. Enjoyable meal.

😎 #Introduction Jalisco is a more traditional recipe mexican restaurant part of the Windsor side of Chapel street. It actually replaced a Taco Bill which was on this premises years ago. 👍 #TheyDoThisWell We were greeted as we entered and were seated quickly. There is...a wonderful happy atmosphere to the place. The food is prepared fresh and in a more traditional style than some of the more westernised Mexican restaurants we have in Melbourne. The staff went out of their way to fill our order before our movie (it can depend on what is ordered). This place is licensed and has plenty of seating - indoors, front, and also heaps out the back. The menu was impressive, easy to read and creative in its layout and options. 🤔 #OpportunityForImprovement Additional condiments such as hot sauce would be great. When busy, the staff were observed sticking to the inside of the venue rather than the back. I (and several others) had to walk inside to order or engage with the staff. This included having table water. There was a mixture of very experienced staff and non experienced staff which led to a variation in service, depending on who you engaged (perhaps because this was January and holiday staff were added). 😎 #Conclusion This is a fantastic venue, and I recommend anyone (who loves Mexican food) to visit at least twice.More

Unfortunately our experience was largely ruined by the delay in receiving our mains. Other tables came and went. To make matters worse we missed out on the start of the movie that we were going to. The staff didn’t seem to notice and only after...grabbing one of them did they do anything about it. We assume our order was overlooked by the kitchen. Food: We had nachos to start ($15), a couple of quesadillas ($9 each), a prawn taco ($7.50) and a beef enchilada ($18) for mains. All were tasty and reasonable value for money. Drinks: The Negro Modello, a dark Mexican beer, was very enjoyable but not as robust as a stout. A good accompaniment for the food. Noise: Given it was quite busy the noise levels weren’t too bad. Am I going back? NoMore

Saturday night dinner for 4. Drinks were good, especially the lemon margaritas. This time they were more alcoholic, otherwise it's just flavoured ice. The fajitas were disappointingly thin - we would have expected more stuffing. Nachos with beef were tasty. Food took long to be...served, but we were not in a hurry and they proactively offered a complementary jar of strawberry margarita, which was a really nice gesture. Service was great. The waitresses were very kind and open.More

We has an ok experience here. Pleasant staff. We sat outside, started with wine and entrees (stuffed jalapenos and chilli con carne) then has tacos which you couldn't eat buy hand because they fell apart.

After hearing about this newish mexican little place and following it on the intrawebs, it looked like the place to be. Well that was a little premature. It was a Saturday night, maybe 1/2 full. 15 minutes we sat untill we got a look in...for even a drink. Ordered our mains and entrees which took a further 35 minutes. Maybe a bit of a stretch for jalepeno poppers. Speaking of, a cut in half jalepeno filled with cheese and then crumbed is not what i call a popper. Were they on rations? What happened to a full jalepeno? $10 four half done poppers. Never again. Pork, chicken, chorizo and prawn tacos. Skip the first 3 and head for the prawn only. The rest were dry like mexican sand. Below average food. Not sure wether to risk it again or not.More

Disappointing visit to Jalisco. Food was average, nothing that stood out, but adequate. Took a long time for them to take our order, but staff were friendly enough. Took a while to clear our entree dishes too. Had the street Corn, Steak Fries, fish, pork,...zucchini tacos, all of which were fine. Not much of an atmosphere either. Too many other great Mexicans around to return, though.More

Hi to all, This was our first experience to Jalisco, hoping for the best we dived right in, or at least we hoped to.... we waited for some time for our food which we expected as my partner is celiac so she had some alterations...to the dish which weren’t much as she only had the nachos. The nachos came out wrong and I was missing half my dish!! As I had a quesadilla with no taco. After all that I had finished my dish by the time they had brought my partners dish out furthermore I reordered a drink that took 20 minuets to get to me and the only reason I got it at all was that one of the waitresses asked if we were ok and I explained and she asked who took the order and I pointed to the young man and she rolled her eyes as if to say he is incompetent!! Finally it came time to pay the bill, the waitress told me I would have to go up to bar then brought me the bill and they added an extra side to bill. 2 stars was me being generous.More
