Just had dinner and the food and greeting from management were very good . The blonde waitress though was incredibly rude ! She snapped when we asked for napkins that we didn’t receive to begin with. Also it would be good to see her wear...her face mask over her face and not under her chin . Very disappointed with her and won’t be heading back . Honestly if you are having such a bad day then stay home and don’t ruin other peoples day.More

I have attended the Union Hotel on various occasions. The service is often good, but most recently it was terrible. In a customer service industry you’d expect to be greeted with a smile and assistance from staff, but in particular, Daniel who appeared to be...the manager at the time was not only extremely unhelpful, but was also very rude. Many people checking in were treated like cattle (like we were inconveniencing him for being there). I wouldn’t recommend going here. The owners really need to look into how their staff are treating the customers.More

Staff were moody - as per the lockdown laws, you have to buy food in pubs currently. The staff were insistent that we had to buy mains and took our initial order only to come back and tell us we haven't ordered enough. So we...had to add more to our order. The food wasn't great and to add insult to injury, later on in the night we saw another table get away with ordering 4 portions of chips! This place also happened to be offensively expensive. $12.50 a pint of cider is outrageous. It's a shame because it's obviously a venue which potential but I won't be returning under any circumstances.More

Visited on Tuesday 11th February for dinner. It was parmy night, choice of 5 different toppings for $15.00 normally $27.00. It was great value, busy when we arrived there with friendly staff. They also have happy hour as well most nights.

First time here. Friendly wait and bar staff happy to help and out for a chat. Good choice of pub food. Tuesday night is Parma night I’m told the Parma’s were tasty and the size was very generous. I ordered a steak that was also...generous in size but sadly was over cooked. Happy hour between 6 and 7 was also an added bonus. Give it a goMore

I can't fault the food and the happy hour is fantastic but sometimes common sense needs to kick into gear with staff members, who steadfastly refused to change the TV channel even though nobody else was watching it or indeed anywhere close enough to be...able to watch it. I guess I should have known better trying to watch a real sport in Melbourne when there was two hopeless AFL teams playing at the same time... Frustrating.More

During my dog walk I called in yesterday for a lemon squash. The bar man filled an ice filled glass with half a can of pub squash, returned the leftover drink to the fridge and promptly charged me $9. Is that the highest price in...Australia? I wonder...More

This is a great place for some good pub grub! I ordered the pumpkin lasagne and it was fantastic, and was able to add a side of chips too! Great meal and we sat outside on a lovely sunny Melbourne afternoon. Service was good. Would...definitely recommend!More
