Awesome coffee and chilli scrambled eggs. Great contemporary but warm fitout, and friendly service. Worth a visit for your next breakie or brunch.

Every time I visit this cafe, the staff are rude or in a bad mood. No polite, very inattentive and seem to have an attitude problem.
On this Saturday morning they were busy and yet they still functioned well, getting people what they wanted quickly and making sure that the service was good. This started with having water on the table. I ordered a coffee right off and a snack to...come later. Both were good. Coffee by Dukes and the Raspberry Jam came with spreadable butter.More
Nice cafe to catch up with a few mates for breakfast. The smashed avacado was better than most places.
Just went to this cafe - annoyingly the staff/restaurant won't spend an extra 20 seconds splitting a bill between two people. When I enquired why the staff were very rude and said they don't (i.e. will not) and just pushed through the entire cost meaning...one person has to pay (it's awkward asking the other party to pay you back). The Detox Juice was $9 and was in a tiny little bottle - a little overpriced for what it was. To the cafe owner/manager, you should look after your customers and not just think of yourselves when it comes to accepting payments.More
I dropped in for brunch on a weekday based on the high TripAdvisor rating. It’s light, busy and with a modern, relaxed cafe vibe. I ordered coffee and the Chorizo Baked Eggs. The food was excellent, very hot and very tasty. Although it doesn’t look...huge, it’s very filling. The mocha wasn’t very hot (a common issue with table service cafes), and the taste was good without being anything special. Great food, great atmosphere, good coffee.More
I had a smashed avocado breakfast at Journeyman Cafe. Perfect in every way. Great atmosphere and service too
I was looking forward to trying this cafe but on walking in found the music to be way too noisy to have any kind of conversation without straining our voices. Fortunately it was a warm day so we sat outside which, even on busy Chapel...St, was way quieter. The staff were friendly and I liked the look of the menu. I ordered avocado, peas and eggs which was fine but my side of hollandaise was sickly sweet and did not taste homemade. I also ordered a cake to take away and the carrot cake was suggested as the least sweet option. It too was extremely sweet and covered in candy and icing sugar topping. In this age of serious diabetes and chronic heart disease we all need to be very mindful of the amount of sugar in our food. This cafe could be very goodif it turned down the loud music and offered more sugar-free options.More
Decor was a bit torn, maybe that was the style. We visited for only coffee, coffee was average. Yet not much selection on coffee was offered. To us, average.
Food is of good quality, good service, great for a quick Sunday brunch. Moderately priced, only concern is that it is a bit dark inside, good for a hangover I guess!
Dropped in while it was raining ro grab a coffee. Delicious up there with the best. The food looks amazing too. Will go back.
Excellent service and coffee. Extensive brunch menu with enjoyable Persian feta and potato croquette with kale (and cold corn). Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful
Wow food here is incredible. It was very hard to choose from their exciting & unique menu! We settled on the apple pork belly eggs hollandaise - YUM, & I had the Chickpea & Eggplant Ragout which was delicious!!
Clean cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are attentive. Menu is average - it has the usual brunch options that can be found at all the cafes around the place. Eggs, mushrooms, spinach, bacon etc. Could probably have made the same meal at...home for a third of the price.More
I was at this pleasant cafe on a chilly morning and ordered a hot chocolate, specifying that it be delivered in a mug not a cup. Subsequently, it came in a large cup. I didn't say anything, but while the staff were very pleasant -...a glass of water was placed on my table without any request from me - why can't they accede to a basic request like this. At $5 for a hot chocolate made with water not how I make it at home with fresh Australian milk, the price was also high. I don't want to be too critical of teh staff - they appeared to be hardworking, and were friendly - but really, Australian cafes and restaurants have to be able to get simple orders correct. If they don't have mugs, why not tell the patron when he or she asks for one?More
