I'm sure many would have first heard of Morgan Hipworth through his stint as a guest on Junior Masterchef. I went on a drizzly day in October to find a ten+ people cue outdoors. Absolutely worth the wait though. Bought a 6-pack for $30 (can...include cookies in the mix), including the Gaytime crunch, Sneaky snickers, Kinder bueno cheesecake, Nutella red velvet, Glazed & confused, and a Nutella sea salt cookie. Flavours are on rotation every two weeks, and the online calendar to choose which week to go was super helpful. Each item is executed well, and delivers exactly what is promised from the description, and the dough is light and moreish. Morgan was present and working super hard on the day so I didn't want to greet him, but if I had, it would've been to say congrats and thanks for the delicious donuts!More

Even tho I haven’t tried one of Morgan’s Doughnuts I am certain they’re amazing. He works his absolute ass off to get where his is and I am so inspired to strive to success the way he does. People creating fake accounts to review your...shop is absolutely immature and rude. So I thought I’d give him a 5 star to make things just that little bit better 🙏🏼 - kaidenMore

It's fair to say I've eaten my share of doughnuts over the years... some would even say a tad too many. When it comes to these doughnuts I don't believe you can eat too many, it's worth every bite. We were only in Melbourne for...3 days and returned here twice on our second and last day. It was the only food destination we visited twice. Morgan was so friendly and talkative- such a nice guy and deserves all the success he's experiencing right now. Even the simple doughnuts like the vanilla glaze and cinnamon were incredible. The brioche base really sets it apart from a lot of the cheaper variations I've tried. If you get a chance, ask them to heat up the cinnamon a bit, brings it to another level, absolutely incredible. The filled doughnuts are great too, our favourite on the first visit was undoubtedly the 'Twix me baby, one more time'. It wasn't too heavy, the balance of flavours was spot on and the syringe filling made it a fun experience. My girlfriend also liked the 'All about that milo', but for me it packed too much chocolate. The dough and individual elements, including the filling were fantastic, but just too intense for my taste. The second visit was really amazing. The few doughnuts we had come specifically for; the cookie monster, bueno and creme brûlée, were unfortunately on the second week rotation, so none were available. Morgan however was kind enough to place them on the production list for the next day, so we could try them! Really nice gesture and we both appreciated it the next day! The cookie monster is phenomenal. I typically prefer simpler doughnuts, and whilst the cinnamon warmed up was my favourite, cookie monster was not far behind! The dough across the board is just so light and fluffy, which allows denser fillings not to detract from the texture of the doughnut. The cake batter filling was incredible and the icing and toppings just complemented it so well, giving it a solid crunch. The bueno also didn't disappoint, the creme could have been a bit stronger in flavour but really such a minor fault. It really did seem to melt in your mouth and the bueno chunks on top broke up the textures nicely once again. The only slight disappointment was the creme brûlée. The concept really excited me. A crispy top with a creamy interior. the execution of the glaze and crust were perfect- exactly how it should be on a regular creme brûlée. The volume of filling in my opinion however was a bit too much, and really overpowered the doughnut. The flavour itself was great, just too much of it. Still glad we tried it, but didn't blow us away, compared to the others we sampled over the course of those two days. I would say I'm sad that bistro morgan isn't in Sydney, but I'm actually thankful. If it were, I'd be visiting every day... And my waistline wouldn't appreciate that. I don't rave about too many places, but this is a must if you're in or around Melbourne.More

The prodigy "Morgan Hipworth" started his passion to make doughnuts from his parent's kitchen. First he tried the pop-up store and successfully sold 10,000 doughnuts; Soon he opened his first store in 2016 when he was 16 years old. He's very hardworking teenagers and mature;...While most of teenagers in his age spend their time having fun in the afternoon, Morgan looked after his doughnut business in the afternoon after finishing school and did all his homeworks. We're glad to be invited by Morgan to his second store in Windsor :) All doughnuts are freshly cooked, delivered using high quality ingredients each morning. As soon as we arrived, we're amazed how good the presentation of all the doughnuts are on the shelf. The customer staff was nice, friendly and very knowledgeable. The vibe and atmosphere were very cosy and comfortable; The store was clean, fancy and well decorated. On the wall, it's written "Seriously Good Doughnuts" - Can't agree more :) :) Anyway, we're advised and pick 6 doughnuts in the nice takeaway package box. Inside, we had: - Bruno Mars *Signature brioche doughnut + couverture white chocolate + salted caramel filling + mars bar pieces. - Off with the Fairies *Beetroot brioche doughnut + butter frosting + 100's & 1000's + strawberry jam syringe. - Netflix 'N' Chill *Signature brioche doughnut + couverture chocolate + brownie batter filling + popcorn crumb + caramel drizzle + brownie pieces. - Nom Nom (Nutella, Oreo & Marshmallow) *Signature brioche doughnut + couverture white chocolate + mini marshmallows + oreo crumb + nutella syringe. - Creme Brulee *Signature brioche doughnut + handmade vanilla bean custard filling + crunchy toffee. - Gaytime Crunch! *Signature brioche doughnut + couverture chocolate + honeycomb crunch + salted caramel syringe. The base brioche doughnut was just well cooked and had balance taste. The texture was soft from the outside and fluffy inside. Bistro Morgan doughnuts show perfect combination of skill, creativity and artwork and you wouldn't get disappointed to try their doughnuts. If you're craving something rich, sweet and flavourful doughnuts, you must try their Bruno Mars, Netflix 'N' Chill, Gaytime Crunch! and Nom Nom (Nutella, Oreo & Marshmallow). If you're after something fresh, slightly sweet and savoury, you can opt for Off with the Fairies and Creme Brulee. For us, Bruno Mars and Netflix 'N' Chill were slightly too sweet :) Overall, Bistro Morgan gives a different experience and perspective on the traditional doughnuts. The taste and presentation are definitely beyond the average doughnuts and they put so much effort to make these fantastic doughnuts. We had absolutely great time having these delicious and flavourful doughnuts. Note: We’d like to say thank you to Bistro Morgan’s team for having us. Disclaimer: Honest opinions expressed here are purely on our own and are based on our experience at that time. Taste: 4.0 Service: 4.5 Yay: Bruno Mars, Off with the Fairies, Netflix 'N' Chill, Nom Nom (Nutella, Oreo & Marshmallow), Creme Brulee, Gaytime Crunch! Nay: N/AMore
