Chucking it down on Friday 4th Feb 2017 but a very warm welcome on our first visit to The Lamb Inn at Longdown near Exeter. I soon realized that this was a popular place judging by the few spaces left in the car park at 12.30. Four of us for lunch, just as well we had reserved a table. Extensive... More

First to arrive at this lovely village pub on a Saturday lunchtime but it soon started filling up. Our starters, brie wedges and garlic mushrooms, were a great way to start our meal, and the mains (chicken new yorker and liver and bacon) were very tasty. The side salads were undressed but we were offered a balsamic dressing which was... More

Last visited the Lamb in June 2016, went back to ensure it wasn't a one off. Again we were made most welcome, including the dogs. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble to accommodate my wife's restrictive diet. Food was excellent, served in good time and was reasonably priced. My pet hate of rock hard butter packs straight from the... More

We all at St Thomas WI Exeter enjoyed our Christmas get together, all the food was served hot and tasty. Well done to all staff.

We have gone here for an evening meal quite a few times but decided to try their Sunday roast. What a lovely treat. The owners and staff are always so friendly and attentive. The roast is the best we have had in a very long time. The vegetables were all fresh and the meat was delicious. We totally enjoyed it... More

Have visited before for food and it's always been very good choice and quality, my parents come alot for lunch, we went here all together on new year's Eve, it was fully booked which was great to see, food came out in good time given the amount of people all eating, it was as usual very good quality, my partner... Very disappointed. Read the previous reviews and our expectations were not met. No atmosphere, portions were small and expensive and to make matters worse we had to wait for nearly an hour before our meal arrived. My husband ordered the large scampi and my aunt asked for the small but there was no difference in the quantity. Would definately not... More

Lovely welcoming place to be. Clean and spacious rather than packed in. I was warned that the portions were large so I didn't have a starter although the menu looked great with a lot of choices for starters. I had a small portion of lasagna and it was rather generous, very tasty and fresh. Andy had the American gammon and... More

Visited The Lamb Inn as we were over for a long weekend in Devon with family. Upon arrival the pub looked very clean and welcoming, nothing special that caught our eye, but received a nice greeting from the owner. The menus were varied as was the specials board. We all enjoyed our food from starter to desserts, the only thing... More
