L'Ourson offers inventive modern cuisine in a charming environment ... at a very reasonable price. The various set menus are somewhat different from that of most restaurants of this pretty mountain resort. The wine list is interesting and the service is efficient and friendly. We went there twice for dinner and once for lunch in August 2016 and always had... More

Not at all what we expected to find in a mountain resort: A gourmet restaurant, with pricing very little different to the other local restaurants, but food on a different level altogether. On our first visit we ate from the set menu, and were so impressed we immediately booked for the following evening, when we ate a la carte. Quality... More

We arrived early (7:30pm) and were lucky enough to get the last table. (Based on our visit booking ahead is advised). The decor is very tasteful with wonderful highly polished wooden tables made specially for the restaurant. Even the plates on which some of the main dishes were served were really distinctive. The staff were really helpful and friendly, especially... More

Highly recommended. The dishes are very savoury and good variety of choices. We discover surprising and great new mixte of taste. Go for the Ourson menu, it really worth it.

We found this restaurant through tripadvisor and when we first arrived it was at lunchtime at the end of the ski season and the resort was nearly empty. The restaurant was quiet, which was to be expected for the time of day and year, and when we sat down we initially thought the menu was short, but you should not... More

Our 2nd visit to Le clusaz and found this restaurant- didn't look much on entering especially after decor of Le scerie I guess a typical alpine style. Was a little disappointed when we realised it was a set menu too. But boy were we wrong. It was fantastic their service was great and helpful- our French is not good but... More

We booked this restaurant on the back of Trip Advisor reviews - thanks everyone you have good taste! We had dinner here and plumped for the L'ourson menu at 42 Euro (without the fish course) and what followed was superb! One of the best Pan Fried Fois Gras dishes I have had for some time, followed by sirloin beef, cheese,... More

We have just eaten the most spectacular Easter lunch at L'Ourson. Everyone of the 6 courses was delicious and amazingly artistic. The salmon riilettes and salmon gravadlax starter was a tantalising entrance to the meal. Superbe Fera (local fish) on tender plump asparagus. The lamb was studded with tasty morilles with a little polenta cake topped with a bouton of... More

This restaurant is absolutely lovely in its decoration and atmosphere. You are welcomed by smiley and warm staff who are also extremely professional - service here is of a high level. The food and presentation were fabulous. Real gastronomy in the mountains! And we are both French gourmets. Highly recommended!

L'Ourson, is a lovely restaurant, the food was exclusive with a beautiful presentation on the plate. It is not cheap but the service is very good! Smiling and friendly! I definitely recommend the place!
