Called for breakfast with my dog the service was very good. My only gripe the food wasn't hot enough why can't restaurants get this simple part of cooking right just a letdown.

Cosy cafe in the centre of Whalley. Very popular so sometime difficult to find a table. Excellent cakes and coffee.

Strange place this. Great in appearance with warm and friendly staff but... I've visited twice now and on both times the food was under-whelming. I sent back a bowl of inedible, dry, undercooked porridge...but still got charged for it ??? Yesterday I got Crumpets described as "lathered in melted butter" and although there was clear evidence of melted butter there... More

Four of us had breakfast at Benedicts of Whalley to celebrate my Brother in laws 50th birthday on 22/11/2016. I found the staff to be very helpful, courteous, very efficient and friendly. We all ordered the full breakfast with a hot drink, the beverages were constantly replenished through the meal. Taking into account the quality of the food, which was... More

Many thanks for choosing Benedicts to celebrate your birthday brunch. I'm delighted we delivered on all key areas and I am particularly thrilled to note your comment regarding a return visit. We are launching a much bigger breakfast offer from Friday this week - and next week and new lunch menu... so there will be lots of new things to... More

we have been to Benedicts many times over the last few years and we have been disappointed with the changes to the breakfast. It is now served on an unsuitable smaller plate, no black pudding, tiny portion of baked beans. Very disappointing, the service was excellent as ever but I think we will try elsewhere for breakfasts in the future.

Many thanks for your review and observations about our change to the presentation of the breakfast. I have arranged to meet with my chef today and we will rethink. Sometimes we should just leave things alone! yes - we have taken the black pudding off and swapped it for hash brown as so many people left the black pudding, it... More

Many thanks for your visit - and I am sorry to learn of your disappointment with the full English breakfast. We have changed the presentation of the breakfast , and have taken off the black pudding due to the fact so few people ate it and so much was wasted. However - the girls should ask if you would like... More

My husband and I visited today after a 6 mile walk and had the all day breakfast which was great. Crispy bacon, great local sausages, tasty black pudding and endless coffee. Only 1 negative what has happened to the brownies? Benedicts Brownies have always been the best, crunchy and yummy. Not today. We bought a couple to take home and... More

Many thanks for your review - and I delighted that your breakfast was a lovely reward for your six mile trek here! On reading your review, I rang benedicts immediately and instigated "brownie gate".... and cannot fathom what difference there was on your visit. Our recipe hasnt changed - the chef making them has been following the recipe for months....... More

I have been here a number of times now with family, friends and work colleagues and every time the food and service has been excellent. There is a good selection and it is not just the usual cafe style food, there is imagination that goes into each dish and you can even have a Bloody Mary if you wish! The... More
