We had lunch at this delightful restaurant after a ride from Villelongue de Conflent on the Little Yellow Train. La Chaumiere is well worth the walk uphill to Font Romeu from the train station. The food was excellent and the staff impeccable. Highly recommended!

Very few menu choices is always a good sign of a restaurant. They know what's good and have confidence that everyone will like it. Stunning value €32 for three outstanding courses. The pork main course was the best pork I've ever eaten. Not to be missed.

We were on a day out to celebrate 23 years of being together, and had taken the Yellow Train to Font Romeu. Based on Trip Advisor posts, we sought out this restaurant, and we were thankful to TA for being there. It is an excellent restaurant. We had a wonderful meal, served by people who wanted you to have a... More

We don't speak French and the menu was in French. They found a staff member that spoke English, very accommodating.

This restaurant was excellent in every way. The food was sublime, the service exceptional, and they even allocated us a waiter who spoke english without asking. I had made the booking via email in English and they had noted this before we arrived. We had 2 young children with us (6 and 11) and they were well catered for with... More

Excellent dinner, taking the 30 EUR fixed price menu, with home-made fois- gras dish, squid and pork tenderloin mains and desserts. The starter comprised a small pot of fois-gras with spiced apple sauce-delicious ! The mains were good, with the squid perhaps a tad more interesting than the super-tender pork. One dessert was a deconstructed lemon tart, using local Eus-grown... More

We visited this splendid place for lunch the second time this year. At both occations we had a splendid meal and an exquisite service. I can recommended the lamb for main course. And they serve the best Baba Au Rhum, I have ever tasted. The dishes are delicious and will surely satisfy even the biggest hunger!
