What happened to this place? I visited this restaurant a few years back and really enjoyed the Thai food. This time I ordered a pad see ew with chicken and chicken with cashew nut. Both dishes were swimming in the same disgusting sauce which was very concentrated and salty as if straight from the jar and not diluted. The salty... More

This was my favourite place to go and definitely made Ios memorable. You can expect excellent food and cocktails. They have great staff members and they are all very welcoming. Best place to have dinner and the fishbowls are a perfect way to get you ready for a night out.

We went to this little place hidden between the Ios Chora labyrinth alleys because the Lonely Planet recommended it lile one of the best in town. Thai Food with real Thai cookers. Unfortunately I din't see any thai cooker and the waiter told us that the dish of the day was a typical greek plate. So we had a greek... More

Actually if you had turned your menu over you would have seen the Thai menu. One side shows our Mediterranean dishes, the other side the Thai menu.I am glad you liked the service. Please come back and try the Thai food. Rob More

Firstly i am a hard marker with Thai food and we went based on recommendation in Lonely Planet. My wife and I where really looking forward to " something different" from gyros etc etc In my experience, the first thing that happens when you walk into a " THAI" restaurant or kitchen is that unmistakeable explosion of smells and aromas... I am sorry but truly you are maybe part of the 0.5% who haven't enjoyed the food at my restaurant. The menu is limited because my I have small kitchen with one Thai chef and as you may guess getting Thai ingredients isn't the easiest thing in Greece. I know we can't please everyone but the VAST majority of people... More

As a worker of Ios for the past 5 years Ali Babas has always had awesome thai food, super friendly staff who provide great service and always have good chat and banter. Thoroughly recommended for tourists and staff alike, the guys make you feel super welcome and at home (just what you need when you're so far away from home)

Great place to both eat and drink. The Thai food at Ali Babas is amazing, I had every meal on the thai menu and was impressed every time. The owner Rob and staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Ignore the reviews that tell you you cant do a fishbowl on your own, I'm living (just) proof that you can. The... More

Even though Ios is completely and wholly absolutely BRILLIANT, Ali Babas definitely gave a lil extra awesome flavour to our stay. The food is cooked by a Thai cook and was exactly what Thai food should be- delicious! We were able to have our dinner a little earlier then pop back for our FISHBOWLS later which was perfect as the... More

Good thai food, great service but lots of drinkers rather than eaters there.

What a fun place. Food is good, not fine dining but really lovely and you get great value for money. It is the staff and owner who make you want to come back and when you go you must try a fishbowl! They are enormous cocktails served in a fishbowl. They definitely serve 4 people are you are crzy/stupid if... More
