Very nice location, it looks like a mountain cabin, surrounded by trees. The road to get there is a bit long, but it's really worth it: excellent food, from starters with typical Nebrodi products (cold cuts, cheeses, fried bread, caponata, vegetables in oil) to first courses, classic but tasty (trofie speck and pistachio, macaroni rolls) and finally the main dish: mixed grill with black pork. We went to this restaurant twice for dinner. We ate the house appetizer consisting of several samples of local products. Little choice of first courses but those taken were tasty.
Only once did we get the second course, the chicken plate that we liked. Decent quality house wine....

We stayed in this very nice place and recommended by several people, alas we ran into the wrong Sunday (see post Women's Day). Good food and good quality but the variety of appetizers and the amount of portions disappointed a lot. In these places you know that you eat well and in quantity but you always have to keep the same standard. This Sunday was below expectations... from the appetizers ( 2 cold cuts, 2 cheeses, lots of vegetables and an omelet), to the first ( 2 really small tastes even if very good ) to finish the “sweet” (no dessert in the program but only a glass of sorbet liquor). Sorry to review so but you have to keep the same standard of catering and try to always leave the customer happy.

Nice place, in the countryside, quiet. Quick Staff, Owner very courteous. On Sundays, however, only set menu. The not particularly good appetizers were more than side dishes, not very tasty, there were roasted eggplants, sautéed mushrooms, fried bread, some cold cuts, a taste of cheese, baked potatoes, very greasy fried, olives etc. We didn't get the seconds. I have been here twice once in June and then again in September, both times had a great enjoyable evening in the mountains above Ficarra - June we ate outside with visits from the local resident mountain fox, and the locals singing and playing music - it rounded of a most delicious meal. In September we ate inside a little more intemate - with all tables chatting and joining in on a 50th Wedding Anniversary. once again the food and service was exceptional. If you are anywhere near and fancy a trip up the mountains it well worth a visit - I hope we will go again next time I am in Sicily

My girlfriend and I have been enjoying our first visit to Sicily together and decided to visit Al Boschetto one evening after reading several positive reviews. Having just returned we can say that this fantastic restaurant lived up to all of the high praise written about it. The high mountainside location is stunning, the traditional Sicilian cuisine utterly delicious, with plates and plates of wonderful antipasti arriving in a constant stream, and the family welcome, despite our shameful lack of Italian, utterly warm and generous. We were incredibly lucky to arrive on the same night that a member of the owner's family was having a birthday party, and one exceptionally kind cousin took time out of their own evening to considerately guide us through our meal. Long story short, it would have been hard not to have a wonderful evening at Al Boschetto, and for anyone looking to experience delicious Sicilian food in an authentic setting and a very welcoming atmosphere (and all very reasonably priced: 14 antipasti dishes, pasta, dessert, wine, local spirit and water all for two ~ €45), we highly recommend it. Watch out for the friendly celebrity neighborhood fox ; )

I had a lovely lunch with family and friends here. Great place, beautiful location in the middle of the forest outside the main town. Service was excellent as well as dishes. We had appetizers, main course, second course and dessert. Perfect! Strongly suggested!
