We returned to this restaurant for the second time in a few months and we must confirm the excellent quality of the food offered!
Returning from Milan to Ravenna we decided to stop for lunch in this restaurant which proved to be of excellent quality as well as excellent value for money.
We took as an appetizer a platter of delicious cured meats with fragrant and very light fried gnocco!
Then as first courses rigorously homemade tortelli with Lambrusco stracotto: very good and truffle cream gnocchi with flakes of black truffle and strips of crunchy culatello: truly excellent!!!
Finally a tenerina with ice cream which is also very fresh and excellent!
Excellent service, very friendly staff!
It's best to book, truly recommended!

Lately we frequent few restaurants / trattorias, a bit for the spread of standard menus and also for the price that has often disappointed us in relation to the quality .. here, the Trattoria La Vecchia Reggio represented a pleasant surprise, the rediscovery of the flavors 'of the parties of yesteryear' at a really honest cost. Beautiful setting, not noisy, much attention to cleanliness, punctual service but not intrusive. Very close to Reggio but in the quiet of the countryside, ideal for lunches and dinners with family, friends or work. Congratulations to all the staff!!

Despite the last minute booking and the presence of a large number of young rugby players, the staff had enormous patience and demonstrated great availability.
Good food and generous portions, with an eye also for those like me who don't eat meat.
We have never lacked Lambrusco at the table.
The final tasting of the 24 month parmesan was also very welcome.
We will definitely come back to visit you!

We went to this restaurant with 2 small children at 12.45pm, we order 2 starters and 2 first courses at 12.55pm...the first starter (4 pieces of dumplings and a bit of cold cuts) arrives at 1.20pm, the second starter ( 1 parmesan flan) arrives at 1.35pm, 2 appetizers with long waiting times and mostly at a distance from each other.
After the arrival of the first appetizer given the waiting times we ask to put forward the 2 first courses (Tortelli verde and rosette)
40 minutes later and still nothing arrives, all the other tables in the room are the same, obviously we with 2 small girls ask several times to please let them leave, and a table of 6 arrived after us (known to the owner by how they spoke) appetizers, first courses and second courses arrive, at which point my husband asks the manager for explanations who makes the situation even worse by saying that the table behind us arrived 1 HOUR EARLY..
We can understand that there are expectations, but an owner who gives us 2 tortelli 80 minutes after our arrival with 2 small girls who had held up as much as possible and the whole room who was complaining in turn, and answers us, but when you booked not did we tell you there would be waits???😶

We went to this restaurant on Saturday 5th August with a couple of friends who were convinced they were having dinner with typical Reggio Emilia food..., there is little typical, I would say nothing. In addition to the excessively high bill... very long waiting times for having eaten cold and frozen food that was certainly not cooked the same day. In our experience it is highly not recommended.

Perché si evince con chiarezza che questa recensione sia finta e che sia stata fatta dalla concorrenza solo per screditare il nostro lavoro e il nostro successo, e le spiego anche il perché, intanto Lei è iscritta a TripAdvisor dal 2019 e in 4 anni ha lasciato solo 2 recensioni ad oggi , tutte due negative ( che coincidenza) l’altro ristorante a cui Lei ha dato sempre 1⭐️ è un ristorante di tutto rispetto che fa parte della guida Michelin, altro fattore che ci fa pensare che la sua recensione non sia vera e il fatto che sabato 5 agosto visto il periodo di ferie il nostro locale aveva meno prenotazioni del solito, è il servizio è stato molto veloce e nessun tavolo si è lamentato.
Nella speranza di poterla avere davvero come cliente le auguriamo una buona estate.

Arriving at 1.30pm (very punctual with respect to the booked time) we ordered starters and first courses (5 tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and two gnocchi), the starters arrived around 2.10pm, the first courses more than an hour later and, furthermore, two dishes were, in terms of quantity, less than half of the others. Dinner for 2 suddenly organized, we called to book but they couldn't get a table at 9pm.
They welcomed us with a smile even at 10.30pm, we ordered gnocco and cured meats (fabulous fried gnocchi I would have eaten as much as I wanted) followed by tartare and sliced meat (very satisfied because finding good meat and having it cooked to the required degree is not a given, it melted in the mouth) side dish of grilled vegetables and giardiniera. Finally two sweets and bitters, a pistachio semifreddo and the chef's Rocher which was truly a pleasure.
All accompanied with a bottle of campanone.
Recommended restaurant really excellent and friendly staff as I like it!
If you want to eat well and feel good you pay for quality.

Traditional Emilian cuisine.
The food is good, the staff is friendly and kind, but I found it expensive.
It's true that I took a bottle of wine, but it was a normal wine, not expensive in itself, and in any case I was obliged because they didn't have bulk house wine or small bottles, and one glass wasn't enough for me.
Having eaten a starter, a first course and two pieces of parmesan, I find €62.50 a little excessive, considering that it was home-made cuisine in a restaurant. Furthermore, the servings are not very plentiful. Given the price, I expected a large plate of tagliatelle, not a portion slightly higher than those found in a starred restaurant that left me hungry.
I recommend keeping a house wine that allows you to get a carafe at an acceptable price, and reviewing the quantities, especially when an extra handful of pasta would cost very little.

Passing through during a trip we arrived at the Trattoria la Vecchia Reggio which, despite not having the atmosphere of a Trattoria, however, has the heart that beats with flavors, products and scents of the Emilian culinary tradition. We thank everyone for the welcome, friendliness, seriousness and above all the respect for hospitality that should be rewarded with a rating of 110 with honors. Highly recommended.

A great meal, amazing, everything is homemade and tastes really good, I can only recommend it. The whole restaurant is super nice and you can sit inside and outside where there is a great atmosphere everywhere, I was totally impressed and a great price these days. Thank you.

The location is anything but an old trattoria. It extends over two very large floors. I had an event on the ground floor and they placed us upstairs. The service is efficient, but insufficient for the number of diners, with long waiting times between one course and another. The tortelli were very delicate, as was the lamb chops (perhaps a little dry) and tasted for the first time the Barzigole di Valestra mutton chops, very tasty and tender. The price of the wine is high, but not exaggerated. As well as the final bill. All in all a bit above average in terms of quality and value for money

Exquisite cuisine, characteristic location, top staff.
All very good, from the cured meats to the first courses, all accompanied by excellent wine.
Really friendly owner.
When we said goodbye he made us taste a house bitter made with anise, licorice and mint... incredible how these flavors return to the taste buds in the same order in which he told us about his preparation.
Everything really excellent.
We will definitely be back!

Breathtaking location in a quiet and heavenly environment, the staff very friendly and helpful, so much so that there were no problems. Exquisite dishes starting from the first course to dessert complete with a vast choice of wines. The local dishes are absolutely worth trying, they leave you speechless. Finally, the price was more than consistent with the dishes we ate. It was a great experience to try again.
