The place is REALLY small, and nicely decorated. It feels like home! The waiter is very sweet and helpful, the food was delicious (the menu is not huge, but that is for the best! Everything nice and fresh! Fresh pasta looked fantastic but I went for a lighter option: rabbit and peperonata (well, not so light after all!), and my friend had a fantastic Pinsa.
The wine list also deservs a praise!
The place is perfect either for a romantic dinner, or for a nice aperitif/dinner with friends, if you want to have a good chat without too much noise and people pushing you to leave the table to the next shift!

Well, arancinis aren’t exactly Emilia’s typical food, but if you’re momentarily fed up of cappelletti and tortelli this is the place for a very tasty food trip to Sicily. Being fond of arancinis the whole family indulged in a selection of them. They were all delicious but a special mention of the family goes to spinaches. They were perfectly served for the take away and need not to be reheated. Very kind service and excellent timing. Strongly suggested!!

I gave my experience 5 points out of 5. Sebastiano deserves them all. Very fresh prawn tartare and seafood salad, presentation of the dishes of the highest quality. Danilo and Sebastiano are excellent managers of the beautifully renovated place with aesthetic taste... but above all what strikes me is their kindness and hospitality.

Hello everyone, I'm Calabrian and I was in Reggio Emilia for university and I chose this place to celebrate my graduation party. Truly delicious food, with the right portions, welcoming staff and a very nice location. Truly TOP value for money 😉 Furthermore, with Sebastiano, the very helpful owner, I found an agreement on the menu just as I wanted, therefore I recommend this place to everyone for any occasion.

Desidero solamente farla riflettere sul fatto che prima di recensire un’attività sarebbe opportuno chiedersi se si posseggono requisiti e conoscenze gastronomiche tali a supporto di ciò che si sta rendendo pubblico, poiché ciò che Lei ha ritenuto”deludente” al tavolo accanto al vostro le stesse pietanze hanno riscosso un “successone”. A tal proposito per aiutarla in questa “riflessione “ che le sarà sicuramente di aiuto in futuro nel farle valutare l’opportunità o meno di scrivere,mi consenta di invitarla alla lettura del Testo “La spesa nel carrello degli altri “ di Andrea Segrè (Agronomo ed Economista, Insegnante all’Universita di Bologna) e Ilaria Pertot, saggio che cita le statistiche,ma va oltre i numeri e attraverso tredici storie di “sopravvivenza alimentare” racconta che la povertà intanto non è solo quella economica, ma può essere educativa, sociale, lavorativa, e quello che emerge è un generale “impoverimento alimentare”. Lunch with friends. very nice place, Anastasia and Danilo welcome us very cordially.
Very interesting menu, difficult to choose, all the proposals are appetizing. After a difficult choice Danilo recommended the wine suited to our choices, excellent.
Excellent service, with illustrations of the preparation of the dishes by Danilo, he also introduces us to the chef Sebastiano, who is also very welcoming.

Very nice and well maintained place in a lovely square near the center. Excellent fish dinner with fresh produce. All my friends were thrilled and the dishes at the table regularly left empty. Danilo assisted and looked after us throughout the dinner with kindness and professionalism.

Located in a characteristic corner of Reggio Emilia is this small and welcoming place. Dishes with attention to every detail! Seafood salad to remember. The spaghetti with squid ink was delicious, like the other dishes we ordered. Correct quality-price ratio. Very interesting wine list. A place where the customer feels pampered, thanks to the kindness and professionalism of the staff. An experience to be repeated that I highly recommend.

Today, returning from the mountains, I stopped for lunch in this pleasant and cute little place. Since the last time the menu has changed in different dishes maintaining the strong dishes of the place. We ate chickpea mousse with prawns, a delicate and very good dish, fried rosti and fried polenta with spoonful gorgonzola, both excellent, 4 glasses of wine, 2 of which were Dolcetto, one from Lago di Caldero and 1 Lugana white. We finish with a small glass of chartreuse. Excellent service all for 58 euros, therefore very little compared to the quality and well-being of spending a pleasant lunch.

I had chosen this restaurant based on the ratings and location, intrigued by this corner of the reborn neighborhood.
The place is very nice, in the small square, with half lights, and the friendly staff. The food however was very far from the reviews read.
Eggplant parmigiana so overcooked that it looked like jelly, the flavor was decent but that's all. Chicken strips with mango curry and rice.. Nice to read, but in the end Amadori chicken cut, with those slices all the same placed like a sunburst on the plate with an unidentifiable sauce with unseasoned rice in the center and lettuce, no trace of the mango , strange taste and consistency of play dough.. potato dumplings with shallots.... little flavor with two fingers of oil / butter. Profiterol: a small glass (first time I've seen a profiterol in a small glass), inside a matured cream puff with very sweet chocolate. Felici di avervi fatto trascorrere una piacevole serata nella Piazzetta del nostro quartiere “GATTAGLIO” recuperato e rivalutato con tanto sforzo ed impegno nel corso di questi ultimi anni da parte di tutti noi Gestori di locali Pubblici. Leggo tuttavia tristemente della Vostra (deludente) esperienza Gastronomica presso di noi. Premesso che ringraziamo e facciamo tesoro di ogni valutazione e suggerimento mosso da ogni singolo Ospite, mi consento di dissentire dalla “forma e terminologia”contenuta nella vostra Valutazione. I Piatti da Lei descritti ( tralasciando quelli che non ha menzionato in quanto probabilmente hanno incontrato le aspettative) descrivono una “Parmigiana di Melanzane “ (stracotta/pappa )ed una Tagliatina di Pollo (Amadori) con una (salsina non ben identificabile…con riso al centro). La nostra Parmigiana di Melanzane, per garantirne la qualità viene preparata, assemblata ed infornata al momento utilizzando prodotti di qualità acquistati da Fornitori selezionati ( consultando il nostro sito web,troverà,per trasparenza nei confronti di tutti i Clienti,una sezione apposita dedicata ai nostri Fornitori ) ed è uno dei Piatti maggiormente richiesti, così come la “tagliatina di pollo”, che nonostante i cambi di Menu” effettuati dal nostro Locale mensilmente ,orientandoci a prodotti stagionali, trova tutt’ora spazio poiché molto apprezzata; il riso basmati che lo accompagna è volutamente cotto al vapore e lasciato al naturale in quanto la salsa Curry e Mango che accompagna il pollo conferisce al riso il giusto condimento senza rendere il piatto stucchevole. I “Gnocchi con Soffritto “ fanno parte della Tradizione Reggiana; gli ingredienti sono pochi e semplici ma nell’insieme è un piatto ricco di sapore dove l’olio ( noi utilizziamo un Garda DOP Valpantena) gioca un ruolo importante ma sul quale tuttavia il mio socio Sebastiano responsabile di Cucina ( con corsi di formazione presso l’Accademia Gualtiero Marchesi di Milano) lo utilizza con oculata parsimonia per dare un giusto equilibrio e bilanciamento al Piatto. A riguardo del “Profiterole”mi sento di convenire che non possa essere di gradimento a tutti;è un prodotto che non viene preparato da noi ma da una Pasticceria di Modena ma di questo viene espressamente informato il Cliente; purtroppo per le dimensioni ridotte degli spazi di cucina ma soprattutto per le elevate temperature dell’estate,evitiamo, per nostra scelta di produrre Dessert con creme e uova onde evitare possibili sbalzi termici ed il formarsi di eventuali e possibili cariche batteriche; tuttavia abbiamo una discreta scelta di Dessert ( non al cucchiaio) prodotte da un nostro forno di fiducia molto apprezzati per i gusti genuini e rustici ( zuppa inglese al forno, torta di riso, di tagliatelle, crostate e ciambelle). Ci dispiace che non sia riuscito ad apprezzare la nostra Cucina, ed è per questo che le dedico questa risposta Manzoniana; COMUNICAZIONE FRA PERSONALE E CLIENTE : è consuetudine della Casa,nella quale riponiamo massima attenzione quella di mantenere in più fasi,una chiara linea di comunicazione al tavolo ,sul decorso e gradimento delle Pietanze servite,per gestire efficacemente desideri ed aspettative dei nostri Ospiti , prevenendo ed evitando in questo modo,possibili ed eventuali reclami o fraintendimenti. Con la nostra Collaboratrice Anastasia responsabile del Servizio di Sala assieme allo Staff di Cucina,effettuiamo giornalmente briefing prima dei servizi di Pranzo e Cena riguardanti le proposte ,le composizioni,le tecniche ed i processi di preparazione del Menù fisso ed offerte “fuori Carta” per fornire e garantire ai nostri Ospiti tutte quelle informazioni e consigli propedeutici alla valutazione e miglior scelta del Piatto ( e Vino in abbinamento) desiderato.
Per concludere a riguardo della “Carta dei Vini”; non stampiamo volutamente il cartaceo per una semplice ragione; ogni mese selezioniamo in collaborazione con i Wine Specialist di Varie Agenzie fornitrici , Cantine ed Etichette di piccoli Produttori, vini spesso di Nicchia non sempre disponibili per “quantità “; pertanto risulta poco pratico stampare ogni mese una Carta dei Vini aggiornata, molto più semplice ed eco-friendly apportare variazioni a quella presente sul nostro sito, ed un accortezza e trasparenza nei riguardi di tutti i Clienti abituali e futuri per far sì che attraverso la scelta dei Vini ( e prezzi in chiaro) possano farsi un’idea ancor prima di una eventuale prenotazione su di una futura scelta, così come anche il menù anch’esso online.
A tal proposito la invito a leggere un’articolo sul tema “ l’assenza delle carte del vino sui siti web di ristoranti” alla pagina di “Intravino”, a mio avviso molto interessante , ….. direi che noi facciamo forse parte di una piccola “eccezione “in mezzo alla moltitudine.
La invitiamo in un prossimo futuro a farci visita e concederci l’opportunità per consigliarla al meglio e farle vivere un’esperienza totalmente appagante.

Great experience! The restaurant located in a very nice area of the city. The food is really good - the chef is a true master who knows how to make every dish on the menu special. I often go there with my husband and every time I am surprised by the combinations, ideas, aromas and care in the plating. Highly recommended!!!

Both the environment and the menu options are very pleasant. A style that without sophistication makes the evening atmospheric with dishes that are sincere, in the sense that they keep their promise.
Friendly and welcoming staff, the only small flaw was the fact that several courses on the menu were finished which I would have gladly tasted... all the more reason to return soon! Highly recommended.
