Luncheon midweek. The town is fairly small and consists of really two streets. One along the water and one in the town. If one is going for dinner the town street locations are probably better but midday seemed dark and cave like. If one is along the sea, the view is an important part of the ambiance. Having said all... More

Ordered the Shrimp Scampi and it was served raw. I explained to the server that I could not eat raw shrimp and that I wanted a different dish. He refused to order me anything else and said "you ordered it you pay for it". I asked for the manager and he said the same. Never did any person say I... More

When visiting Cinque Terre we came on the ferry from Levanto to each one of the five towns and ended here at Portovenere, we were a group of four, had some salad, fish, mussels and pasta with seafood service was a bit slow even though the restaurant was far from being busy. Flavor of all dishes was average nothing especially... More

Unfortunately the place does not match with the food and the service. I found them a bit confused and boring in their proposals

Very slow service that night we were there. Seemed very understaffed. The meal was good and the view was beautiful! Situated away from the crowded parts and the end.

The staff have an attitude of providing whatever you ask for...they are always willing to explain all of the dishes and accommodate small requests. Sitting by the water on a nice evening is amazing, especially during sunset. Not too fancy but not too informal - love it. Fresh Fish done simply was excellent. Some nice Barolos, Brunellos and Champagne on... More

The gentleman at the desk at the hotel where we were staying said he would surprise us, on where he would send us. This is where we ended up going. The restaurant is located just below the church on the far end of the peninsula, overlooking the Mediterranean. The entire experience was a "10."

During our visit to the Cinque Terre region my husband and I took the ferry to Porto Venere for lunch and just happened on Le Bocche. The location is perfect; a bit past the crowded ferry area and at the gateway to the harbour. We were fortunate to be here on a beautiful day and sat outside to enjoy the... More

Upon the recommendation of a local guide we made dinner reservations to celebrate a special occasion for 6 of us. We were seated outside overlooking the water. Our server was a delightful and pleasant young woman who was very patient with us. The food was excellent and varied, served with perfect timing, and enjoyed by all.

Thank Robert M
