I have been told this restaurant has a Michelin star, can’t really believe it. Location is really outstanding but food and service are not.
Surprisingly for a restaurant of this level, many employees didn’t use mask (only the basic waiters, the sommelier, the maitre and the owner didn’t). Unbelievable!

After a wonderful day on the boat in this wonderful island we decided to dine in this magnificent location, caressed by the sound of the sea and with the carefreeness and tranquility that such an important moment as dinner should have.
I state that reviewing a Michelin star is very witty, but it serves everyone and serves them above all.
Let's get to dinner:
Staff super helpful, accommodating and making the experience a nice mix of informal and sophisticated.
We opted for tasting menus (95€ per person) as we always do in Michelin restaurants to taste all the choices of the chefs.
A great double-cooked cuttlefish appetizer to try absolutely.
2 pasta absolutely recommended snapper tortelli with a really good cold tomato sauce (gazpacho). But an applause should be made absolutely for fusilli i with scampi in double cooking DIVINI.
Last but not least, His Majesty: THE BLACK FOREST, the exploding dessert that accompanied us at the end of dinner and the pleasant walk in the streets of the island.
Total bill 265€
(Negative note a coke 8€ a bit too much).

This is a lovely restaurant in a beautiful location overlooking the port - we saved this restaurant for our last night on Ponza and unfortunately we were very underwhelmed. This must be the most disappointing meal I have had on all of my visits to Italy, usually visiting twice yearly. We started with the cuttlefish and tempura seafood with vegetables; the cuttlefish was ok but not very inspiring and I am not sure where the seafood was and the tempura was vey heavy. I was looking forward to the pasta cacio e pepe having last had this dish in Rome - however it was nothing like the dish I previously had and was a very dull sludge colour and served with Rigatoni and not spaghetti, the other dish ordered was the linguine with prawns, again a disappointment. We started with a glass of wine each and actually had to ask for more wine. Overall a big disappointment.

Curious to try one of the “best restaurants on the island” we book a table. Nothing to say about the lovely location, we find ourselves eating a welcome Entre: greased oil foil, cold Supplì and tapas from the withered pastry. The only good thing, mayonnaise but as they say “a donated horse does not look in the mouth”.
Waiting to try the raw appetizer arrive, after 40 minutes, 6 saucers.?I barely eat 3 and I immediately feel sick because of a knowledge that contrasts with freshness. The raw were hot of which the first two without flavor, the third unfortunately yes but bad. The waitress sees and asks if everything is okay. I tell her that there is something wrong with the plate and she tells me verbatim words: “it is not possible, no one has complained” to which I reply “then what is she asking me to do”. She smiles forced, takes the plates and leaves. Here comes the first, not even worth talking about.
We leave it on the plate, ask for the bill and pay by leaving a tip.
Of all the restaurants I've tried in Ponza, it's the worst I've ever been to.
It's not nice to eat raw fish and taste a rusty can in your mouth.
ZERO quality of service. Despite the effort of all the waiters to greet you by greeting.
I wonder where and when this star was attributed.
Actually, I suggest you try it just to prove me right.

Tasting menu with highs and lows
High: carpaccio, cuttlefish, tortelli and swordfish cooking.
Bass: amuse-bouche, tubes of razor clams (not up to par) and dessert.
The risk is that the patina of staleness in the service will obscure the tarnished Michelin star.

We were greeted thoughtfully in a dream location, overlooking the sea illuminated by the winking lights of the evening. Our choice fell on the tasting menu, which was served and presented by an attentive and prepared staff. All courses met our expectations and we savored tastes related to the territory, the current season but especially the sea.
We will definitely be back.

We two daughters (age 9 and 11) enjoyed a stunning view while eating one of the most unique meals of our trip. The fish dishes are the reason to come, although my daughter tried the filet and it was delicious. We found things that appealed to the kids and also to me, and enjoyed the best service of anywhere in Italy. The wine list was also exceptional.

We are at dinner not knowing that the restaurant was starred, so we decided to try the tasting menu. Fantastic rooftop terrace, interesting wine list, shame the food was not up to Michelin star. All tasteless, the cuttlefish chewy, the fusilli with raw and cooked scampi tasted exclusively of lime, the amberjack fillet (which according to the chef was the specialty of the house) overcooked like a ciabatta. Only good dish the tortelli with snapper.
When paying the bill the holder initially refused to accept the American Express. After pointing out that it was one of the payments admitted and also reported in the Michelin Guide, only then did he accept it but complaining about the fees being too high.
When we arrived home we realized that the amount charged to the card was about €50 higher than the tax receipt (about €320). The next day we returned to claim the refund with both receipts in hand and she welcomed us saying the words ‘But can you prove it?’
In the end we were refunded, and certainly it was careless ... but we advise all customers to check well, when in doubt, you never know ... (by the way the island has many other restaurants where you eat far better)

Table granted by grace at 10:30 p.m.
We were greeted with grace and haste.
The dinner lasted very little they hurried to serve us skipping the most basic rules that a starred restaurant should have from food to service.
I pay exactly the same as those who arrive at 8:30.
Prices from 2 stars not one.
Food without praise
Bad service.

Lovely location, perfect for a leisure dinner in company. There were four of us and we chose to eat à la carte. Unfortunately, however, the experience was not entirely satisfactory. Having communicated an allergy to mint, we were immediately struck by a first mistake: the amuse-bouche contained a tartlet with zucchini scapece. Knowing the preparation, I asked the waiter for confirmation if there was mint, and I was confidently told no. After tasting it, however, I recognized the flavor and, turning to another member of the staff, more Expert, I had confirmation that mint was present. This second waiter apologized immediately and was sincere about my state of health, but the initial mistake left a negative impression.
During the evening, the service showed other carelessness, with little focus on customers except to fill glasses with wine. Although the quality of the raw material in the dishes was good, there was nothing that stood out particularly neither from a technical point of view nor for the originality of the proposals. The bread served was also dry, probably cut in advance.
In conclusion, were it not for the beautiful location, I would hardly return. However, I will try the tasting menu in the hope that it will offer a more curated and attentive experience.

Recommended by some friends for the first evening on the island of Ponza, we had a great time. They accommodated my need for a gluten-free dinner and made some changes to the tasting menu without changing the number of courses or the deliciousness in any way.
Excellent and friendly staff and spectacular location.

Restaurant with wonderful view and attentive service. The spaghetti with sea urchins was very good, the fish and vegetable tempura was completely inadequate (mainly composed of carrots and peppers, very little fish, a lot of oil and a price that was decidedly too high)
Averagely satisfactory experience.. Coming back? I don't know

I had been to this restaurant a few years ago, an impression reconfirmed.
Ordinary food, nothing innovative. My cold, dry, rubbery cuttlefish placed on a bag of mixed salad and a few artichokes in oil. The first loads, not refined at all, only correct in cooking. Frying from a normal restaurant, raw, sad in presentation. Dated wine list, nothing flashy, nothing new, glasses used heavy and unsuitable for the wine chosen. Pressured and misleading waiter. The only positive note is the location but a little bit to justify the 500 euro bill. There is a lot to review and renew…

A fantastic location overlooking Ponza, with terraces overlooking the rocks, elegant with a beautiful atmosphere. The waiting appetizers are excellent, the raw fish is very fresh, including red snapper, tuna, prawns and scampi. Excellent service, equipment and delicious desserts.
