The elegance and attention to every detail characterize the Chiaia di Luna, one of the finest restaurants in Ponza, that welcomes guests on the beautiful terrace by the pool. The dishes are prepared with care and refinement, inspired by Mediterranean tradition, without forgetting the quality of the local ingredients. Pampered in front of the lights of Ponza port and illuminated by soft light of candles, diner at the Chiaia di Luna is really an experience of great romance and charm.

We tried many restaurants on the island as we stayed for a full week, and the in Chiaia do Luna Ristorante was definitely one of the best we had on the island. The best thing about the restaurant was definitely the environment and the hospitality of the staff. You should ask the bartender for any favorite cocktail and will nail it! Food wise Me and my girlfriend went twice and we concluded that none of the starters were something special, but from the pasta and second dishes, we would definitely recommend these two: -Gnocchetti with cannellini and raw shrimps -Tuna fillets with potato mush and caramelized onions. (Even though we didn’t get to try it, the roasted octopus looked really nice and many seem to enjoy it)

We stayed in Ponza from 12/08 to 22/08. My partner and I, when choosing whether and when to book, agreed on considering this experience a highlight of our holiday. For this reason we decided to go to the restaurant on 08/19 (we have the habit of "keeping the good things for the end"). Therefore, many expectations had been created in us and I must absolutely confirm that we were delighted, indeed the reality certainly exceeded expectations. It's all romantic and comfortable right from the moment you enter, having been able to admire the sunset from the Chiaia di Luna terrace (the view is unparalleled). Then the staircase under the portico, an almost regal entrance, the external entrance to the Hotel and then up to the high terrace (please specify this when you book). Once you arrive at the table you can admire the unique beach, probably the most beautiful on the whole island. The staff is young and qualified, made up of super-trained and easy-going guys, kind and fast, like the kitchen which manages to guarantee really short waiting times! Unfortunately we were not able to taste the second courses. Although we consider ourselves "foodies", the portions of the starters and first courses were truly satisfying (and space for dessert is a must!). The recipes are truly original, fun. In particular, I would recommend the grilled octopus and the tagliolini cacio e pepe with red tuna and lime (she preferred the scialatielli to the prawns, perhaps it's more reliable!!). The babĂ  is the perfect ending but the caprese cake is also exceptional! We paired the dinner with the Vino di Bianca produced in Ponza, which was perfect (it has notes of Biancolella which pair very well with the dishes chosen). Finally we were almost surprised by the bill: rare quality-price ratio, to be seriously considered as an investment in good food and relaxation. Highly recommended to further stimulate holiday peace of mind! Unique experience! PS for public transport take the Panoramic bus route towards Le Forna starting from the Port (alternatively it takes 10 minutes on foot, the climb is not at all tiring) towards the port starting from Le Forna or surrounding areas. The stop is in front of the terrace, the restaurant is at the top of the staircase, otherwise you will be taken to the entrance by taxi (a car not recommended for holidays in Ponza).

This hotel had all I was looking for and more. I took a small, sea view room and it was wonderful clean and well appointed. The staff was warm and always helpful. The amenities are well considered including a shuttle that takes you down the hill to the port. But you don’t even need it, it’s a very easy walk down the hill with sidewalks the whole way. I also suggest aperitivi on the terrace for sunset and definitely dine there at least one night. The food was very good and the ambiance perfection.

Nice location if you get a table right at the corner of the restaurant with view over the sea, all other tables are just average. The place is crazy overpriced for the poor quality they offer. We ordered two negronis to start, which came in the cheapest glasses we had not seen cocktails served in ever. We both ordered the seared tuna. Mine was like rubber and had cartilage pieces inside, which I had also never seen before. I actually had to send it back TWICE!! The third time the waiter told me that the chef gave me the most tender part they had, which was true. The portion was really small though, no more than 100g of tuna for 24€!! We had the parmigiana as a side dish, for 12€, and it was terrible, too. Really surprised to see this place being rated so highly, to us the quality was less than average.

Choose this restaurant for its location as it overlooks what, in my opinion, is the most beautiful bay in Ponza, from which to admire an enchanting sunset. The restaurant, which is that of the hotel of the same name, offers good cuisine, with well-made and beautifully presented dishes. Service to be reviewed, not very attentive and with very long waiting times, despite the presence of a room manager and several waiters. Prices in line with other restaurants in the area (around €60 each for a starter, two first courses, two desserts, water, two glasses of wine and coffee), the cover charge is decidedly expensive (€4) for having two plastic runners on the table and a small tuna meatball on mango cream.

We went to this restaurant for my mom's birthday getting influenced by the place and the view that are very impactful. The service was very poor, not at all friendly staff who did not even say goodbye when we left, they brought the dishes slamming the plates on the table without saying a word. I had expressly asked to put a candle on the cake that my mom would take and my request was not considered at all. We ordered a second course based on a fish that was replaced, without asking, with another. Banal and flavorless dishes. The only positive note is the view of Chiaia di Luna but there are much better restaurants in Ponza and with an equally beautiful view.

The view of Chiaia di luna is unforgettable, but this unfortunately cannot be said of the dishes proposed. The most sore note is for the pasta with tartare... salty and with too much butter, and with the prices that go around this restaurant really is not admissible to miss a dish in this way. Ok frying, but the value for money remains really inadequate.

We would not know where to start, an evening when everything was wrong, both in the dining room and in the kitchen. Plateau of raw indecent (2 shrimps and an oyster), tuna belly inedible. The seat cushions were soaked in water, the waiters awkward and indisposed. A disproportionate bill for the service offered and, to top it off, we were kicked out in a bad way, seeing all the lights around us turned off, as the place was closing (IT WAS 10.30 pm!!).

We ate dinner on a table with stunning views booked a few days before at reception (we stayed there). Fair and tasty portions, tasty basket of bread and focaccia. Staff not overly on the piece but still friendly.

Extended over three floors, former nightclub, exposed to a wonderful view. Tables at sufficient distance, waiters not very affable, do not recommend the catch of the day. Good parmesan. Good ravioli sauce with shrimp, minus the ravioli. Appetizer appetizer offered by the house. Quality of customers not exclusive.

Restaurant of the hotel of the same name. Table a little secluded from the others almost by the pool, well set. Courteous waiters. Welcome tuna meatball, The two appetizers were brought simultaneously with the first courses. The first courses of good seafood; that of modest land with cold pieces of mozzarella not homogenized with sauce and eggplant cut very thin. Very modest fruit cut with non-sweet watermelon and unripe melon. Good pineapple. Good baba. Excellent wine chosen in a very well stocked wine list. High average price, also considering the type of restaurant.

It's been about 10 years that every time I came to Ponza (every summer) if we don't stay at the Hotel Chiaia Di Luna, we at least have a breathtaking dinner in this wonderful restaurant. Breathtaking dinner because it is the only one that offers a sunset view of the queen of Ponza, Palmarola, surrounded by Mediterranean beauty. The Ponzese tuna carpaccio is excellent, the scialatiello is delicate with an iced white wine from Ponza, a must. The kitchen has excellent ingredients and accurate preparations. End of the evening with burning skin, at the piano bar right next to the restaurant and the hotel (where we were staying). The staff is always courteous, helpful and prepared. We have been coming here for years and we have always had a good time, in June 2023 they had probably reopened the season and were in the "settling phase" for a moment... but in any case this does not affect the always excellent experience.

Exceptional views enviable to most restaurants in the world. Elegant restaurant perfect for special occasions or couples dinners. Refined menu and very poor in courses. Very delicate foods but with combinations a bit 'too pushed that cover the flavor of the fish and is a real shame.

Exceptional experience. Crazy location, not to mention the food and the staff attentive to every need. I went for dinner with friends on a Saturday evening and we were all amazed by the dishes. For what we ate, we spent the right amount. If you are cold, they also provide blankets.

I went to eat on Friday 28 June. When ordering, once we finished saying the first courses, the head of the room immediately asked us "still or sparkling water" I had to voluntarily ask for a bottle of wine and two fries... COMPLETELY OUTRAGED. He probably saw some young guys and not potential clients. The girls were not served first and an extra bottle of water was added to the bill.
