Montepulciano is a magic city which offers its visitors unforgettable memories. A steep, winding road will lead you to a medieval hill town with a wonderful view over the surrounding valley. L’Osteria del Conte is situated in one of the town centre’s main streets, near the renowned Sanctuary of San Biagio and ontepulciano’s Fortress. After several years of experience in enogastronomy and catering, Lorena together with her son, Paolo, decided to open this cosy little restaurant in Montepulciano, where you will have the possibility of tasting the genuine, delicious dishes offered by the Sienese cuisine.
We have been to Osteria del Conte several times. Usually during the off season so we are treated very well. Great menu and food is very good...make sure to dine with a local wine! Small place so service could be slow so give them a...More
We grabbed lunch here at the recommendation of our hotel owner. Because he said reservations were best, we let him book us a table and by the time we walked over, they were ready and waiting for us. Staff was friendly. Most of the tables...More
Osteria del Conte is one of the best options at "the top of the hill" on your walking city tour with a nice outside location that hosts both locals and tourists. Staff was a bit overworked and not overly friendly, but fairly efficient.

We were the only non- Italians. We shared a plate of cheeses from the main course as a starter. A good choice as we were introduced...More
If you want something down-to-earth and not super fancy, but with delicious food that you would expect your Italian grandmother to make, go here! Way at the end of town past the Piazza Grande you'll fine this unassuming place. The food was out of this...More
Had an amazing dinner here. Homemade Pici and their specialty steak! Cosy family run restaurant and was buzzing with guests. We arrived 10 mins earlier and had to wait as the restaurant was full! It was a good indication that we made the right choice!...More
We had a fantastic meal here, we sat outside on the terrace across the way and it was lovely. Our server was delightful and helpful when you’re trying to choose between two dishes. The pici pasta is a can’t miss - yum!! Highly recommend.
We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. They managed to find us a table once we said the hotel had sent us here. Food was good and wholesome with a home cooked feel. The almond cake for dessert was a little band but the...More
