The restaurant is a bit more modern and clean/minimalist than many of the others we’ve been to in Italy which was refreshing. The waiter recommended the mixed antipasto selection - which for €15 was very good value. It came with six different dishes to try...(all good size for two people to try each one). Included octopus, beef carpaccio, fave e cicorie, smoked salmon and more. We then ordered a couple of primi/secondi to share after which were also good - but not as good as the antipasto. If you are looking for a restaurant, first of all: skip Manfredonia. There may be some good restaurants there, but unfortunately without a prior reservation there is no chance to get into one. So for dinner we went to Mattinata and ended up at Terrazzo...Matino. What a friendly welcome and excellent food! Even the kids enjoyed their pasta and hamburger - of a highest quality - and were rewarded with a surprise dessert. The starter plate - Antipasti della Terrazzo - comes highly recommended. The primi - try the melanzana and you will not want to go home. It’s a pity it was our last night here so we’ll have to wait for a return visit.More
We (group of five) decided to eat in tarazzo matino while visiting beaches around Mattinata. Firsly I was surprise with very short list of dishes in menu, but each position is there for a reason. Meals was very well composed, I choosed grilled cheese with...honey and fried onions which I recommend to eat with fresh local dry white wine. After spending one week in Mattinata, this restaurant become my favorite one...which, after all, made me going there twice! High quality local food is served in a modern style. Service and location are excellent.
A great restaurant just one street from then busy city center. They offer great food for a very reasonable price. Waiter was really kind and spoke English, which made our visit even more pleasant. They also have some vegetarian meals on the menu and the...chef was able to adjust some meals to serve it as a vegetarian meal. The picture is of one of the very tasteful desserts.
