Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful choice of cheese and prosciutto as well as wine! We came there after the heavy storm and the guy had to close the restaurant soon after but still he didn't leave us and other hungry guests without food.

Lovely place. Forniture old style, really funny. Ok, let’s put in a side the confort, but important is the quality of the food. I just suggest to be more clear in the menu as prices are for single person and not for the voice in...the menu...More

This is a must visit spot in Marina di Massa beside a little park where Italians congregate with their kids well into the evening - such tasty italian cheese and meats and decent wine. Great spot for people watching.

Two days of work in Massa. Two visits to La Prosciutteria. If you are into cold cuts, good service and a friendly staff go here. House wine is good and affordable but a variety of wine are available. Seating is both inside and out. A...nice touch is the different tables, chairs and benches. The staff are very helpful in choosing food and wine. My best recommendations.More

We had dinner and ordered soup with bread and lasagna. Neither of the entrees were at serving temperature. We were disappointed. Other customers ordered meat and cheese plates and they looked excellent.

Order is done inside, several choises of size. We tried medium size dinner style. Served on a wood plank, with lot of ham and cheese and some vegitables, bread was included. Enough for my wife and I. Good quality of Food, helpful English spoken staff....Order Your Food and beverage inside and carry outside to eat. Lot of variants to choose among. Be aware that this place is small, and with few tables outside and inside. Advise not to come later than 19:00 or 19:30, to avoid waiting time. All tables was occupied all the time we was there. Genuine Italian experience!More

Found this little hidden gem on trip advisor. We had one of the food boards; different types of cured Italian/ Mediterranean meats, cheeses, vegetables, fruits and fresh bread. I had a beer and my wife had a glass of wine. Located off the beach front...so we knew it would be reasonably priced. Total bill £20! Highly recommend and definitely going back before we leave.More

This is a hidden gem in MdM, the cold cuts are quality pieces of meat, paired with delicious cheeses and vegetable, great lasagna and other dishes. The wine list is well presented and the prices for everything are VERY affordable. Some of the staff speak...enough English to make ordering easy, and it's always a good idea to tell them in general terms what you're hungry for and then let them surprise you. I stop here at least once almost every time I am in town.More

Went here with a group of 10 friends. A bit of a squeeze but the food and service were very good. Ample amounts of red wine to wash down the food and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended for a casual get together.

Service was nice, although is a self-service restaurant. The owner helped us choose the food because they have so many choices :) The price is acceptable for the quality that you have.

This simple, but original place serves fresh food in Italian style. You pick up a plate, fork and knife then you can order sandwiches or a cutting board full of different typical local ham, salami, cheese and vegetables. The unsalted bread comes with it.

We'd read about this restaurant and were intrigued as every time we walked passed the place it was full of people and buzzing! First thing they say is they aren't licensed to serve so they prepare the food and hand it over the counter and...we had to collect our own cutlery, plates, drink out the fridge, napkins etc. Our starter a wooden board of cheese and cold meats was fabulous, our mains in enamel bowls not quite so wonderful, as it was a little dry, more liquid needed. But the atmosphere was great, we loved it and will go back. My only moan, was the plastic plates and cutlery! This American touch just didn't enhance the experience.More
