Very nice place. Small but beautiful. Best bread on Elba. Food is not too expensive. View is okay. By the piazza. Cats

Great food, amazing people - should we write anything more? Do not miss their "testaroli al pesto" and their chocolate cake - simply delicious!

This place in Poggio is heaven. Well we went to this place twice which is very unusual for us. But this place was cozy, the cook looked like something from a pirate movie, the waiter had more tattoos than I could count, and the cooks wife was just sweet. The menu is not big, but it is very Italian. No... More

Firstly I'd like to say that having had the choice between gourmet and traditional, me and my newly Wed wife decided to try the traditional restaurant based on its reviews. Having entered the restaurant to book welcome what so ever we decided to find the nearest table and sit down as it was free. There were waiters attending tables around... More

We had a very nice experience in the Sciamadda... the owner (?) was very gentle and explained to us every meal as the menu is only available in italian... you can get typical local products from the woods and from the sea, cooked with fine herbs. The children had some extra pasta (not on the menu), we enjoyed chestenut-flour pasta,... More

We were passing through the lovely village of Poggio feeling hungry. There we found the best restaurant on the island of Elba. The owner explained the menu in detail, especially those dishes containing fish. Traveling with children it's often difficult to find suitable dishes. Not here: they chose a yummy soup and a plate with mixed breaded fish. We all... More

This place is exceptional. In Elba, a tiny village on the mountain side overlooking Marciana Marina. Early April, a cool looking guy is kicking a soccer around with his kid, turns out he's the owner -chef, Sandro. No one there but us to start and he serves us a house specialty, a whole wheat pasta called Testa with a fantastic... More

My husband and I had dinner here two nights ago, and we had such a wonderful time that we decided to come again yesterday. The restaurant is very nice, with its vintage and refined furniture. The cuisine recalls granny's cuisine. I can confirm bread is homemade (against what other comments say). We had zimino and testaroli with pesto: both of... More

We found ourself in the lovely village of Poggio when driving around the area, and decided to dine there. The village is adorable. And we chose to eat at Trattoria Sciamadda as it seemed very cosy and lovely situated at the main square. The service was very friendly. It was also hard to choose from all the dishes. Everything looked... More

The restaurand is at a great location. It has a very Artistic atmosphere and the stuff is helpful and kind. The food is good. Although the Chesnut kind desert made me laugh, it has such a unique tase! I could not eat it.
