I went in for both the pastries and later for ice cream. Both (all) were really good and I enjoyed everything. I had typical Leccese pastries and these were one of the best I had during my trip. However, the staff is not good. Almost...uninterested and ready to get it over with. Based on the other reviews, I wouldn't sit at a table. But if you are just going to get something, it's a good place to stop.More

Really bad service. Waited 35 minutes to be served. Two other tables next to us decided to leave so I went up to the bar to order instead but because they need the service charge they sent a waiter to our table to take our...order but he never returned. We decided to complain however the staff weren’t really apologetic and said they would take the order again. It would’ve been quicker if they just allowed us to take the drinks to the table and fire the useless waiter. We left and went to a better bar round the corner and got served instantly.More

Amazing place, maybe the best one if you want to try an exceptional "pasticiotto" (i'm Italian, so trust me :) )

An institution in Lecce and in the main square (as well as just below our Airbnb!). We took away some savoury snacks, 3 items at 2€ each and between the two of us filled a lunch spot! The photos are of their sweet selections.

Loved stopping here for morning coffee and pastries. Fun location to people watch and the wait staff is friendly and attentive.

Even if the cakes looked wonderful, the service was appalling.. we waited 15 m outside before we had to confront te waitress who was very arrogant and eventually slammed the menus on the table. We left and went across the square to bar Tentazioni where...the service was million times betterMore

The Lecce cakes “pasticciotto” at Caffe Alvino were delicious and better quality than other pastry shops we tried. Alvino has savoury items as well which can me nice for a snack or light meal.

Century old cafeteria with first class pastries, my favorite the best pasticciotto of the city, perhaps of the whole Salento, stuffed with cream or cream and black cherry from 8 am to late night (I never saw it closed)
