In Lecce, we had dinner in Il Rifugio della buona stella, which is located in the touristic centre. We tasted traditional dishes from the Lecce area. The food was good. The staff is professional. The quality to price ratio is also good

We loved this cozy trattoria in central Lecce. They propose a good choice of typical Puglian dishes, perfectly cooked and presented. To top it, the staff are friendly and very helpful.

I have just returned from dining at this restaurant for the 2nd time in a few days. What a fantastic experience. I had to go tell someone about it straight away! It was great the first time and even better the second time. The ambience,...service and quality of the food was just absolutely perfect. Serving sizes and prices were all very reasonable. We came to Puglia mainly for the food experience and at this restaurant we certainly got what we came for. I can’t say one dish was better than another. Skip the rest and try the best. You won’t regret it!More

First off the wait staff was wonderful and the ambience was good, but the food was just not stellar. We had mashed chickpeas with greens that were dreadfully underseasoned and had a slightly bitter flavour. The eggplant dish was pretty good, but again it had...a slightly weird under flavour. The only amazing part of the meal was the whole grilled branzino which was perfect. The meal would not have been so disappointing if we had not just lunched at Alle Due Corti just down the street which was definitely the better choice.More

The food was ok. Upon leaving I watched the cook pull out pasta straight out of the microwave, he looked ashamed, however it felt like an engrained arrangement at the restaurant. Highly recommend you look for alternative places to eat. No locals, would never return....Relative to a high end restaurant in Monopoli that cost as much, this place would would rate a 1. Please spare your seld the despair.More

The restaurant filled quite quickly but the waitress who was on her own dealt with everyone efficiently and with a smile. The food was good value with large helpings and the house rose and red went down well.

Why is this restaurant so highly recommended by lonely planet ? I think because there are many vegan options. However food very average. And L’insalata di mare not fresh and had SURIMI!!!??? And l’insalata mista was supermarket style. The orecchiette was the only thing good....Absolutely full of tourists, no locals.More

We really enjoyed our meal in this lovely restaurant where service was prompt and welcoming. Great vina della casa, antipasti and primi. We would definitely return!
