Very good food and beautiful location! Home made breads, big variety of wines and delicious food. One of the best meals we had in Tuscany.

We were thrilled with the quality, presentation, and flavors of the courses we received for lunch at the Fonterutoli estate's Osteria. And the prices were not really any higher than other ristorante we visited in Tuscany. Our only disappointment was in the tiramisu, which I believe was a unique variation created by their wonderful chef. We did not find its... More

Enjoyed a very nice lunch after having done a winetasting. The personell are very serviceminded and the food is good. Considering the prices my expectations were a bit higher, nevertheless, a good experience in a nice location.

Had an amazing dinner here, highly recommend it. Very traditional Tuscan food, amazing chef. The teramisu is served in a terra cotta bowl with a sprig of mint so that it looks like a small plant, awesome!

We had been here several years ago and had one of our best meals in the 30 years we have been coming to Italy so we were very disappointed that it did not deliver on this occasion. There was four of us. Two of us had the mixed crostini. The liver pâté was good but the tomato was a far... More

The place is very nice and, if the weather allows it, you can eat outside. There is a lot of parking and it is easy to find. It is a restaurant popular with tourist visiting the Chianti region and the nearby wine cellars. You will find no local people and for a reason. We had the suggested entrée of the... More

We visited this lovely restaurant after the cellar tour nearby. The staff were friendly but clearly mucked up our order and seems to forget our second course altogether until (to his credit) the manager spotted our gaunt expressions and asked if we were waiting for something. I got the impression that the American couple next to us were getting all... More

My husband and I found this gem while we were in Italy. I have never eaten anything that was on this food and wine tasting dinner. I was a little totally awed!! The food was so good and the wine they pared with each exotic dish was perfect. The views of the area and the service was outstanding. It was... More

This restaurant is a true gem. One would miss it easily when driving those winding Tuscan roads. We decided to go to buy some wine and hoped to eat a small bite. We had a wonderful surprise. The food was innovative and delicate, presenting local ingredients in an original way. I had the 'Tuscan tonno' which was rabbit presented beautifully.... More

Osteria di Fonterutoli has a new, young chef and staff. They do a great job running lunch and dinner at the famous (most awarded Tuscan vineyard, I believe) Fonterutoli Estate. The setting is perfectly set just off of the SR222, but yet amidst the vineyards and olive groves of Marchese Mazzei. The food is excellent! I am not normally one... More

Description
Culinary tradition has always been very important in Fonterutoli as it expresses the culture of the Chianti Classico area. The Marchesi Mazzei has opened the new “Osteria di Fonterutoli” in an old Tuscan country home overlooking the vineyards, completely restored, in order to offer to its guests a great food experience. The restaurant will be a resting point for the travellers and “food lovers” as it was in the past. The local dishes offered, perfectly match our wines and make them more enjoyable. Our Enoteca, located just in front of the Osteria, offers the opportunity to taste fine wines produced in the winery’s vineyards and to carry out guided tours of the medieval centre and the cellars, included the new impressive cellar.
