Although on the entrydoor there are many credits from Michelin and too late noticed no more from Osteria, we were enjoying a beautiful view from the terrace that was the only thing that stayed positive. we have had the worst dinner during our holiday. Even...the winecard was such poor although we’ve expected more because of the bottles of big wines and Brunello in the foyer. Maybe they’ve had greater times, but with this cook and poor winecard these times are over, definitely. The menu: a welcomestarter which was a little piece of hard not roasted bread with some oil on it. The antipasti nice flavor of Battuta di carne but including so many white fascies, not nice. Primi: handmade Pici pasta was hard like stone, Secondi: Peposo stewed beef but too much bitter you couldn’t eat that. We’ve left without cafe or dessert. Never again such a farce although there had been two big baskets with fresh porcini on table beside, they didn’t offer any. Crazy at all. Really wondering how they’ve got such good credits. For Osteria Italia Guide Gourmets and lovers of traditional meals and very good wines this restaurant is not to recommend. Maybe that’s the reason they are not listed anymore we realized too late.More

I had three dishes plus the greeting salad and I enjoyed all of them. The pasta was fresh and well boiled, the seafood on the spot and the olive oil (bought some) of expected outstanding local quality. The fish was well made and a cod...can be a bit soft, which is not a bad sign or anything, just the fish. I read some of the complaints before and sorry I cannot confirm anything I read there, since neither there is strange music (classical soft rock from the 2000s mostly), nor was there anything with wrong prepared food. All excellent from my side.More

We had lunch at the nice terrace with a beautiful view. The food was a big disappointment, worse than I could imagine. The house wine was good. Service was ok.

It doesn’t happen very often and I can count them on one hand, but sometimes you come across the “perfect place” be it a restaurant hotel or some other experience. This was such a place for us and one I highly recommend. I experienced several...Tuscan dishes that were out of this world. I know it is summertime but do not leave without trying the pappa al Pomodoro. Otherwise trust the chef if you are not sure what to try. We are drinking the local (house) wine wherever we go and how can you go wrong in Montalcino. Lastly, the views of the countryside from the patio are just breathtaking.More

If you want delicious food, a stunning view of the valley, and friendly service, this lovely, family-run restaurant should be on your itinerary to Tuscany. We enjoyed the beautiful terrace before dinner, followed by a terrific soup, generous and lightly sauced pasta, and a tender...and flavorful beef dish. Our large group was treated like family!More

This was my first time visiting Tuscany and this place is not to be missed. We were with a tour group and had the most wonderful food and wine. Delicious ricotta and spinach soup, pici pasta and braised beef. Chef Biserni and his family were...more than welcoming! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!More

If you're in Tuscany on a picturesque trip, you need to come here. Montenero is a beautiful region with ample history, great people, and fantastic food. You are missing out if you don't partake in the cooking classes here. Absolutely the best. Service is impeccable.

I have visited Tuscany many times but this beautiful restaurant is the place I come to time after time . The service is wonderful and Flavio Biserni the owner is a charming friendly and welcoming host. The food served here is without doubt some of...the finest I've tasted in my years of travelling to Italy and certainly in Tuscany. I adore the atmosphere here and especially love eating on the large terrace which has a fabulous view over Tuscan countryside. . I visited recently and once again was not dissapointed by what I chose. . I would recommend this charming and award winning restaurant to anyone who is looking for somewhere a bit special .More
