Arezzo is great for food and this was a reasonable and quality restaurant that, in winter at least, is not too crowded.

Located in the heart of the city, the restaurant "Il Saraceno" offers its guests a perfect Tuscan setting. The location in one of the oldest streets of the old town, the very architecture of the local dishes and wines served make this restaurant an integral part of the city and its history. But the secret of the room are the... More

This typical trattoria is a nice place in the old town. There were also local people eating there, that usually is an indicator of good quality. First we had a mix of local appetizers that included salami, ham, crostini with truffles and with mushrooms and cheese. Then each of us chose a different main meal: pasta with boarpig sauce, rabbit,... More

You have to be prepared to wait for a table, but it is well worth it. Family run with three generations there that day. We ate local specialities and we were really happy and content with the food and the prices.

My family dined at Trattoria il Saraceno on our previous trip to Italy in 2012. We had such a wonderful dinner that my sisters and I decided to return for a lunch on the last day of our 16 day trip to Tuscany this year. What an absolutely horrible experience. Our first interaction was when my sister sat herself at... More

This trattoria is located just next door to another popular trattoria, L'Agania. We tried both. The food is excellent in both locations, but we preferred Il Saraceno for its calmer atmosphere and more professional service. Our host was very patient with our limited language skills and recommended good local wines. Desserts made in house were especially good. We were so... More

We have been here for a lunch and ordered starters for us, pizza for the kids. Food was OK, ambience was nice. The place is fairly priced but two eur coperto for each (totalling 8 eur) was annoying. But remember, coperto is added to bill almost everywhere in Italy.

I went for lunch & had the gnocchi & I was pretty underwhelmed. It would have been great by US standards but as far as meals in Italy go, it was just so-so. The service was great, though; everyone on the staff was super friendly.

Good selection of dishes and wines. The service was extremely kind. I would recommend this place for a lunch.

We stopped in for lunch--basically soup, salad and pizza. The riboletta soup was really delicious. The pizza was tasty--although the regular mushrooms didn't seem fresh to me. It was generously portioned--if you're not especially hungry two can easily share one pie...or you can share one and get something additional. The farro salad was also tasty. The service was friendly. It... More
