Why does this have such a poor rating, it's so far from the truth! Want to say it's terrible so that it doesn't get too popular but that's too mean! I've been coming here for over 20 years and this place keeps getting better and...better. I still miss the chooks out the back and of course Kath picking up our empties with a cheery smile. The latest menu is just so good! It's a nice mix of pub classics and some healthy goodness for those times when you are trying to be good. I had the tomato and mozzarella salad with chicken and spicy eggplant, sooo good! My favourite is the mushroom pizza, it is the best! So come here if you must, it is amazing but don't tell your friends because they will keep coming back here too and we both won't get in!More

We took our little family to meet with a larger family for an afternoon at the Nott. It was a hot day, but the large trees in the beer garden kept the place very cool and the breeze was great. The pizza is available all...afternoon, so we didn't have to wait for the kitchen to open at 5:30 which was a bonus. There can be lots of kids running around and sometimes not so well tended, so bear that in mind if your kid runs with the pack. But good food, nice drinks, very good atmosphere.More

Had a great birthday party at the Nott. Spit roast for 100 people. Arrangements were made smoothly and staff, food and private areas we had were excellent! I wanted a casual place for people to mingle around and eat and drink and this was perfect....Highly recommendMore

Notting Hill Hotel offers a variety of eating experiences. This review is about the bistro. The menu is great and includes some very yummy and different alternatives. Not over-priced but quite classy food and really well prepared. No booking needed but check for which nights...it is open before you go. If the bistro is not open, the uni bar is a good cheap alternative.More

Not a great experience. Just to clarify, we dined at the Steakhouse not to be confused with the bistro Taproom. Steakhouse menu has Big prices for what we decided was basic pub grub. Steaks prices upwards of $45 and unremarkable. Lamb shoulder plonked on the...plate with mash and peas and Each side of the plate was adorned with half a brussel sprout which had been doused in some sort of sauce. Drinks menus were not given out so one of our group had the shock of 3 beers costing him $45 at the end. My first choice would have been the kingfish but they were sold out of this by 7pm (excuse given was they had a function at lunchtime) Another of our group had the apple crumble- one of about 4 desserts on offer- and for the $14 price, it was ordinary at best. Wait staff were friendly and service was good, but since the dining room was nearly empty - so it should be. To top it off, a credit card surcharge at the end. No thanks. Won’t be going again.More

Average food at city prices. Nearly $50 for a steak and sauce, with sides extra - and they were out of the only fish option at 7pm in an empty restuarant. Other dishes the group had were average at best. Don't bother with the steakhouse,...just go to the pub section - meals are bigger and value for money.More

We had a date night at the Steak Restaurant on Thursday and I would love to give a big shout out to the chef and wait staff. The steak was beautifully cooked and well presented with hand cut chips and a tasty well seasoned salad....We also tried the scallops starter and goats cheese soufflé. Delish! We also snuck in a sneaky dessert, the chocolate tart. The service was unpretentious and very attentive. Our waiter was helpful with wine choices. I’d recommend this place for a date night, celebration of any sort, work groups or corporate lunch/dinner. Thanks for a lovely evening, we’ll be back!More

We have been here are few times, mostly on a Friday night after work and once we have collected the kids. Great atmosphere, lots of people, good pub food, good bar, just a good all rounder.

I walked here from the Quest and found a full menu with a range of options other than their steaks. I ordered a paella and it came out reasonably quickly. I could smell it cooking and the taste was as good as the smell. Was...going back tonight but the weather defeated me!More

Came for lunch with some work colleagues and got totally ignored by multiple staff. Those taking our lunch orders were too busy having a conversation with their colleagues to pay attention to our lunch orders. Which is why they stuffed up at least 6 of...13 meals! Also the outdoor tables have those bench seats so when someone on one end gets up the person on the other end either looses their drink or as happened to me ends up falling on the ground. I twisted my knee and another colleague twisted an ankle both within 10 minutes of each other. Also on both occasions staff of the place witnessed the incidents but no one at any stage came to ask if we were ok!More
