Excellent choice for trying splendid Omani food in a restaurant frequented by locals. The food here is excellent. Their signature dish which many local Omanis and foreigners come here for is the Meat Shewa, which is a very generous portion of slow roasted, fall-off-the-bones spiced lamb served with rice. The dish is also accompanied with a side dish of salad,... More

Went with 8 of my team members to eat local cuisine. Please don't expect welcome courtesies. Identify your place and settle down. Hygiene is average. Food is awesome, spicy and more than sufficient. Good place to visit again but go without any expectations of good customer service.

This might be a bit unfair because there was at least one chap who seemed to care that I was there, but otherwise it was a quick and mediocre experience A massive piece of fairly tasty lamb piled on a mountain of pretty uninteresting rice; a good, but gigantic salad, and actually a very good soup to start. And good... More

The place to be if you want to eat Omani shuwa meat and rice. They also have amazing Yemeni bread that is heated and covered with honey. A must to order for appetizer. Its a good place for a Omani induction for visitors and toursists. If you want the true local experience than you have to get the ground seats... More

We have been Al-maida restaurant with our office colleagues. Food was not so great and staff was arrogant. I don't know why arrogant people come to hospitality business.

An over rated place. Local food but at an increased price with no real appreciation in the quality commensurate with the escalation in price. Food served is often not hot and often tastes dry. There are other better places for local Omani food.

Cheap for oman too, but no booze of course. Eat outside for a view of quorum park, but there are some cat s... More

The restaurant location is just superb and that's in my opinion its only strong point. They offer Yemeni, Lebanese, Omani, Chinese, Indian cuisine dishes but none of those that I have tried impressed me or even rated slightly above average.
