This is my friends local restaurant and she was keen for me to try it. She recommended the seafood chowder and homemade soda bread and it didn't disappoint. Followed by homemade crumble it was a lovely meal washed down with a pint of Guinness. A very friendly and busy place, I wish I lived nearer.

I'm very, very jealous of the locals in and around Carrigaholt. Visiting a friend in nearby Querrin, we were treated to an amazing experience here at The Long Dock that really left me feeling great. The food was absolutely amazing, best meal I had in Ireland by far. The crab claws were to die for, the wings, not being fried,... More

Mary and I went to west Clare for the day and stopped at Loop Head lighthouse, the Bridges of Ross and Carrigaholt in Clare County. We stopped at The Long Dock for afternoon dinner. What word comes to mind....Fabulous!!! I had the fresh seafood platter. It was gorgeous! So fresh and the smoked salmon was just delectable. Mary had the... More

Visited during Christmas week with family, it was busy on the day but not too crazy. Food is excellent and if you love seafood then you have to visit. Great staff also.

Situated on the loop head peninsula I recently had lunch in the long dock after exploring the local area. The pub is warm and cosy with a fire lighting in the corner. They really emphasise the local seafood here although the menu boasted other options for meat lovers. The chowder had an excellent depth of flavour and their grilled fish... More

Had a beautiful meal here on Friday night. Homely intimate dining area and very personal and friendly staff. Mary is an excellent host and knows a lot of her customers.

Visited this family friendly restaurant on a very busy bank holiday weekend. The staff were welcoming & engaging & went out of their way to accommodate the young children in our party despite how busy it was. Where do I start with the food? Our large party all tried different options & each & every dish was delicious, the fish... More
