WARNING. Even though website says "Booking not required", when we turned up without booking we got a pretty cool reception. After 30min trip no apology. Told "we are busy so you should have booked". A favorite place we will no longer visit.

Fantastic: went with 7 others. Food was fabulous ( I had a steak; with mashed potatoes and side salad which was more then enough) Everyone loved their meals and not overly priced. Julian , our delightful waiter was quietly efficient and attentive. Amazingly , although...the room was fully booked, we could hear each other . Definitely will be going back .Unfortunately I didn't check out the range of seating or the outside environment NEXT TIME Thank you , a great experience.More

Visited as a group of 12 (3 families including kids) for dinner in Feb 2023. Meals were very good, desserts were large. Kids nuggets are some sort of weird chicken that none of the kids liked. Tip - don’t get the nuggets. You’ll need to...constantly check they have your order right, then check again. The staff member might have been having a bad day, but we had a couple of different servers they were all struggling. They forgot a kids meal, we had to consistently get up to ask for more drink orders and to chase up missing meals. Nice outdoor area for kids to run around. The owner/manager was apologetic about the errors. We would return.More

We gave the entree’s 9/10. Prawn salade and chicken spring rolls. Main, Barramundi 4/10. —- could have gone to the local pub if we wanted fish and chips. 😞. I expected better service from the staff. Ordered a wonderful 2018 cabernet only for it to...be plopped on the tabel unopened with wine glasses from Kmart I’m guessing. The restaurant was very stuffy. No air conditioning working.More

Was last here in April 2022 when I thought coming out of covid was an excuse for bad service but it has only improved slightly. More staff but still not enough to service the size of the restaurant and they all seem rather blazé about...working. MaîtreDe is still the same and still seems not to care. This time there were children with us and it seems the chef doesn’t have children as their meals came out 10min after ours and we had to ask the wait staff to check where they were, same with the table behind us. Food is pub food.More

Nice atmosphere, nice wines, good service but the food left a lot to be desired. the Barwon Heads pub has similar, tastier, better quality dishes at a lower price - go there instead

OMG, what a magnificent lunch that was included as part of our Wine tasting tour. We had a choice of entree, a choice of main course and a glass of wine included. For entree I had a delicious Pork Belly Salad and a Chicken Burger....The food was amazing and I was so full that I couldn't eat it all. The coffee was really good too. I would highly recommend a visit here.More

i love this place, its always a treat when i bring my middle class family of 6 to this establishment. the food is great and the service is even better.

The menu was extensive ,the food was fabulous!!! Kids had the kids Neal's nuggets, bigger kid loved his Cluck Norris burger. My husband and I shared a tasting plate for 2 which was delicious and the my husband enjoyed a serve of pork ribs while...I loved my bang bang chicken. Not cheap, but very generous meal sizes and felt well worth the money. Great Oakdene Pinot Noir too! Also staff were fabulous, attentive and the fast!More

We cannot fault this place it has great food, wine and service staff. We had the tasting board to share which we could not fault, followed by the seafood fettucine which went well beyond our expectations it was superb. The wine was the Sav Blanc...again a wonderful drop.More

Went for dinner for anniversary with my husband. Been here before when menu was more upmarket, still lovely food, more casual atmosphere. Staff were dressed very casual, runners, track pants,not what I was expecting, they were lovely but the whole laid back uniform was a...shock. My husband had the brisket and it was delicious, the duck spring rolls were amazing. I would go back again just for these spring rolls, my calamari salad was ok, the dressing was a bit bitter which ruined it but the calamari was tender, overall a nice night out. Post covid get to together with friends for a midweek lunch. The Peking duck rolls were tasty and the humpty doo fish with chips was equally as good. The porterhouse steak was cooked to perfection and the fat rendered so well nothing was left on...my husband's plate. Good portion sizes, good value for money. Ella was very busy but had a lovely smile every time she approached us. Thank you. We hope you manage to find more staff like Ella.More
