Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came across this nursery and cafe last year and liked it so much we returned again last weekend. Our lunch meals were delicious and beautifully presented, and it was lovely sitting outside to eat. The nursery plants are of a high quality and the...gift shop has a large variety of things to browse.More

Stopped here for breakfast. They were so helpful with working around my dietary requirements, I was very appreciative. The big plus was that the food was delicious! Definitely recommend especially if you’re gluten and dairy free like me. The nursery and shop were lovely too.

As visitors to Geelong we were taken to the Van Loons Nursery and Gift Shop to spend some time window-shopping. The gift display was a little out of the ordinary but the items were obviously of good quality. We were very surprised at the size...of the nursery and with the large variety of plants and trees. Our host for the visit suggested we visit the cafe. We selected an indoor location as the breeze was too cold to be comfortable dining outside the cafe. The provided menu was a little unusual so I sought safety by selecting the Breakfast Burger with Cappuccino coffee for $18. The meal was delicious but too large to consume on site. Staff provided a clear plastic container allowing me to take the balance of the meal away from the site. It seems that most of the clients at the cafe were mainly local but I would recommend it to tourists to the area.More

Buyer beware. The online menu is way out of date so don’t plan ahead! If you like to pre-choose then you will be disappointed. When mentioning this to the staff they all blamed someone else.

This nursery is amazing. We thought that we would pop in for a coffee and we were not disappointed. It has an awesome gift shop and so many beautiful clothes, the nursery is huge and the cafe was excellent. Wonderful coffee and amazing fresh scones....You could fill in so much time, just wandering around. Well worth popping in to.More

Very well presented Nursery not a brown leaf insight. Coffee was very good, nice crema and depth of flavour, good choice of cake and also meals, or a wine with the meal. Drop in when passing .

What a fabulous find. There are obviously millions of plants, But it’s also a homewares shop with some great pieces and an awesome licensed cafe. Lots of seating options. Inside, outside undercover or outside. We enjoyed scones, jam and cream with blankets provided on our...laps, sipped coffee before buying some plants and a couple of pots. Loved it.More

Well, what a gem! My husband and I stopped in for lunch and have come away thoroughly sated! David had the Pie w’ chips n salad, and a blue heaven thick shake and couldn’t fault either. This praise coming from a chef. I had the...most heavenly braised lamb salad. Truly a superb marriage of flavours and textures. Jack, in the kitchen, is to be applauded. A fabulous lunch.More

We recently had a high tea there, the food was very average, the slices were stale, the sandwiches were disgusting, they had a zucchini slice which was so bad and old, the scones were dry. We wouldn't go back, it was $50 per head. The...place had a fire, it was freezing cold no heater on. Left me cold the whole event. No tea was offered as you would expect, they had bought party pies (I mean one party pie) Really disappointing.More

We went here for our one year anniversary, it was so nice to be surrounded by the plants and our seating got plenty of sun (options to sit inside and under shade too). We got the eggs benedict and it was great, same goes for...the coffee. The servers were down to earth and friendly.More

Came out for lunch with the family, meals were too expensive for what was on the plate (smashed avo 1 piece of toast, “green salad” with the frittata was tendrils ). Staff didn’t interact with us just took our lunch order despite being table service....Didn’t ask if we wanted anything else after our meals after sitting 20 minutes after our meal, tried to wave people down but no one ever looked our way. Decided to move onto another place to have coffee and cake instead. Would’ve mentioned at the time however staff didn’t seem interested in how how time there went.More

It is great to have a wander through the indoor and outdoor delights and then head to the cafe for a coffee and a sweet treat....perhaps wise to book as very popular!
