Came here last year for our Golding Wedding Anniversary and decided to revisit again this year to celebrate. Staff are warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Knowledge of menu is outstanding which helps in making a choice a lot easier. Great wine...list to choose from. Service was excellent even though the restaurant was busy. Highly recommend as a place to dine.More

Three couples visiting Oakdeen winery and Marty for the first time on an extended long weekend. Reviews all very positive so we had to try it. Even though the weather was terrible, we really looked forward to spending the afternoon sampling wines and relaxing. This...place did not disappoint- friendly attentive staff, varied menu and good wine list. Can't fault the food, 4 of us had steak which was cooked and prepared as requested. All the dishes including entrees were good, bread excellent and the wines were so good we purchased several bottles on the way out. Highly recommend spending a little more to experience this place. Would come back againMore

We had the 3 course spring set menu which was very good. This is the second time we've had dinner here and recommend Marty as a place for a quiet dinner or a group. The food is fresh and the dishes creative. Their Brut sparkling...wine is gorgeous, a light rose colour and fresh finish. For dessert the Matcha creme brulee was delightful and together with the black sesame ice cream was a good ending.More

Coming up to summer, Martys is a definite must visit. Can get a bit busy so book ahead. Table service excellent and food choices are sure to cater for (almost) anyone. Good menu and everything always cooked as ordered, plus the local Oakdede wines are...a touch above the rest.More

We went to Oakdene for a Saturday Lunch and had the four course menu with matching wines. Everything was spot from the service, the dishes and the wines. It was a very relaxing afternoon and we didn't come away feeling like we had over or...under eaten.More

Booked late, actually on the day. The website directs you to a different booking software platform. It didn’t work well on my phone but perhaps it was me. 7PM booking and we were welcomed and brought to the table. Certainly the menu is varied and...draws inspiration for the local area. My youngest was catered for also. Tasty main courses and excellent desert. Kids enjoyed the occasion and I am delighted to recommend it as a local eatery. Will I be back probably. We get to the bistro reasonably often.More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We use The Fork (previously called Dimmi) as our booking platform, which is mobile friendly, so would like to know in more details what the booking problem actually was. Glad you enjoyed your dinner with us.

Waited a long time for service and mains but the food was excellent (terrine starter, duck and beef cheek recommended).

Thanks for your review of our restaurant Marty @ Oakdene. Will definately chase up why you had such a long wait - its not our normal practice, but we are glad you enjoyed the 'excellent' food.

We enjoyed our wine in the bar fireside and followed our very agreeable lunch with coffee again in the cosy bar. Our meals, both mains were very delicious and beautifully presently, however the quantity was very poor value by fine dining standards, particularly the duck....I was pleased to order gluten free, however no gf bread was offered and I hsd to request . Wait staff were friendly . Atmosphere was sophisticated and overall experience was very satisfactory. We recommend for a romantic event.More

It has been 3 years since been to this restaurant and again we were not disappointed. Friendly, professional and attentive service by all staff who attended our table. Food of a very high standard and beautifully presented. Tried the Panko Crumbed Oysters, Bbq Octopus, Sirloin...Steak and Roasted Duck Breast. All dishes were very tasty. A must is the Trio of Desserts - Lemon Tart, Chocolate Fondant with oozing chocolate sauce & Smoked Chestnut Parfait. Delicious. For a restaurant to still have the same high standards 3 years later is commendable. Definitely try this restaurant.More
