We ate here once, the staff were friendly and the food was excellent. The chef didnt arrive until six but we were told this was the usual time to start and didn't mind waiting at all. The food was worth the wait.

We stopped in for a drink with the grandparents today and ended up staying for lunch on account of the cold and rainy weather outside and the warm and friendly service inside. We sat in a small room at the front of the pub which...More

We visited a few times for drinks whilst staying locally. The staff are friendly and the real ales were good and well kept. We enjoyed sitting in the garden relaxing in the nice weather.

We were staying in Wedmore for a week, and as we usually do, decided to try out one of the locals. The George looked the sort of pub we like, so earlier in the week we went there for a drink, and then booked for...More

This is my local so I could be biased....having said that I wouldn't send anyone off to spend their hard earned cash to somewhere I wouldn't go to myself. Food is good, always changing, good portions and none of this 'find it with a microscope'...More

I'm sorry but I genuinely find it hard to take this review seriously. Are you someone I know having a silly joke? We have our faults but this is the first complaint trip advisor or elsewhere about the amount of food we serve. We are...More

Loved it !! Old coaching Inn dating back to the 15th century with lots of character combined with a very high standard of food and accommodation . A great welcome (also from some very friendly 4 legged friends) - all very relaxed and informal, I...More
