Very friendly and fantastic atmosphere! Food is excellent! The village is a really nice mountain village with old stone houses. Really worth leaving the highway for lunch.

Top-class typical local dishes served well and with quiet charm. We had a very enjoyable lunch - the mixed cheeses and meats starter - at €12 for 2 people, was a bargain, while shepherd's gnocchi was delicious - the whole menu looked good actually!

A real taste of Abruzzo. We have eaten lunch three or four times over the past few years and always can count on finding the freshest seasonal produce and the most delicious traditional dishes. This last visit, we especially enjoyed the antipasto featuring locally produced prosciutto and sausages and an array of ricotta cheeses from mild to very spicy. I... More

This restaurant is a standout of the burgeoning Slow Food movement in Italy. The menu depends on fresh, local produce. Prices are a bargain compared to, say, nearby Sulmona. In sum: an adorable restaurant in the historic town core with a tradition of its own.

and visit La Fiaccola, one of the nicest trattorias known to men who travel in Italy. It is well hidden, a few hundred meters from the main square and the parking but it is popular. At lunch, on Saturday, all tables were taken. We were lucky enough to grab the last available table. The guide Gambero Rosso says La Fiaccola... More

This small restaurant in the middle of Anversa was very good indeed. Service was prompt and efficient, and bread and water was provided promptly. Our gnocchi with a creamy sauce was delicately infused with basil and was very filling and tasty. The house wine was very reasonable and we shared an excellent dessert. We would definitely return to this restaurant... More

You will not regret this. Very reasonably priced, this restaurant served me perhaps the best ricotta-filled, pecorino-sprinkled tomato sauce pasta I've ever eaten. The atmosphere is very homely and the family that owns it is very nice, inviting us for an epic Brazil vs. Italy card came at the end. Most of the products are made in-house from scratch, each... I suggest strongly this place if you are in the area. The food is phantastic and the price is very good. Don't miss this opportunity. One remark: Saturday evening the city is empty (!?)
