I have enjoyed lunch several times at Cantor Art Museum. This time I jus purchased a Kind Bar. Staff is nice.

This is another of master chef Jessie Cool's venues. Organic, local and sustainable focus on soups, salads and sandwiches. We shared a delicious veggie wrap. Prices in line for the area. Indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter, then it's delivered to your table....It's a nice, easy and quick place to take a break from touring the Cantor Arts Center.More
For visitors to the impressive Stanford University Campus - and the equally impressive Cantor Arts Centre - the Cool Cafe is certainly a convenient place (with indoor and outdoor seating) for a drink and a bite to eat. The only downside is the prices which...seem unnecessarily high for a property only offering counter service. That said, it doesn’t keep too many patrons away!More
we were a group of 10, touring the Cantor Arts Center, in search of food mid-tour, so we were a captive audience and the prices reflect that. my chicken sandwich was good but it wasn't $15 good, and $3 for a bottle of water..... that...said, they had space for all of us, all of us found something we could eat, and we didn't have to leave and come back, so mission accomplished. i would say this is good, not average, but there is no level for "good." (oh, the person who got a pre-made sandwich rather than ordering one freshly-made said that it had obviously been around for a bit.)More
Came with 4 girlfriends. Nit was a hot day so we ate inside but otherwise, the outside would be my preference. Inside s a small cafe that is bustling with people and quite noisy. You order at the counter, get a number and then sit...down. Food and s brought to you but you bus your own table. 4 of us had the curry chicken salad which was very good. It was served over a bed of spinach with 2 small slices of bread and a few thin slices of apple. The salad was $14 but the website says $12. Our other friend is vegan and got their spinach soup which she said was delicious. My main drawback for coming here in the lunch hour was how noisy it was. Hard for 5 people to hear each other talk but the food was quite goodMore
A lovely quiet place for lunch with colleagues. The salmon and caper sandwich was outstanding, and the hard cider was a refreshing change of pace. Dine inside or out (we were inside because of allergies). A nice place for conversation.
As with Jesse Cool's restaurant, the food is local, fresh and imaginative. This is not your usual mediocre concession in a venue! Since you are surrounded by art that is free, the cost of your meal or snack shouldn't deter you. Indoor and lovely outdoor...seating, often crowded at lunch on weekends. The Cantor Museum is a great little venue in which to have a casual bite. Parking on the street outside the museum is metered and permitted on weekdays, but free on weekends. You can take your food out to sit in the Rodin Garden too.More
My family was at Stanford for an undergraduate tour, but we arrived an hour early and wanted to grab lunch on campus. The student that check us in at the visitor center said Cool Cafe was the better food on campus. The kitchen was being...renovated, so only a partial menu was available. I got the greek veggie wrap and it was far better than what I anticipated. I do not like veggie wraps but the greek wrap has given me hope of warped being worth my time once again. Overall the food was good, but nothing to go out of your way for in the future.More
Liked Cool Cafe with organic, healthy offerings. I loved the tasty mushroom soup and roasted sweet potato salad. Chicken sandwiches were deemed good by kids, and vegetarians enjoyed the salads. Indoor/outdoor seating. Modern decor. Slightly expensive, but given the museum setting, and organic offerings, in...the range.More
Coffee was alright. The cappuccino was the right size at least, the latte was a bowl of coffee. Modern looking cafe, food options seemed good, but we just had the coffees and a chocolate chip cookie, which was pretty good. The location in the museum...is the thing to recommend about it.More
This is a great place to refresh and refuel during your visit to the Stanford Campus and Cantor Art Center.
This lunch bar has a small delicious food selection - burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads that will soothe your hungry tummy and delight your palate with their tastes. Good before or after your tour of the Cantor Arts Center where it is housed.
After visiting the campus , we wanted to relax before going to see the museum . Cool Cafe was a perfect place to recharge our batteries. We enjoyed mushroom burger . We wished to have coffee latte but the machine was not functioning . We...settled for butte creek. The atmosphere is good and service is average .More
Nearly every person who visits us here in Palo Alto is taken to the Stanford Art Museum and a lunch at the Cool Cafe. Their food is fantastic (check out their sister restaurant in Menlo Park for something more upscale!). Their salads are probably the...best dish but their sandwiches are also great. I'd skip the soup but everything else is great@More
The cafe offered wonderful sandwiches on fresh baguette rolls. Portion size was more on the generous side. The ham and cheddar was delicious with its honey tapenade. The chicken sandwich was had thick-cut bacon and really quite tasty. The soup special was shitake mushroom with...coconut milk broth - yum! Everyone left the meal quite satisfied.More
