I recommend Nykterida to all my frients visiting Crete. The food is so fresh and delicious - wow! The view is amaizing! Thank you for the chef to have it all so tasty. By the way - it is also most cleanest place I've ever seen.

Excellent food with high quality products, even the simple tomato salad with mizithra is to die for... (See pictures). A special comment about Andreas the waiter who was very kind and friendly, he offered fruits and rakomelo at the end of the dinner and gave very good advice on the wine we had. We went back a second time as... More

Eatin: The food is pretty okay. The tomato salad really sticks out in my mind as delicious! Though that's thin praise since it's hard to find a bad tomato salad on the island. I had the stuffed lamb special. The ol' ball and chain had the sausage plate. Both were ok. You ever have a really good meal and, after... More

We visited this restaurant twice during our week's stay in Chania. It is a beautiful setting overlooking Souda bay, a great spot to watch the sunset. Starters, including the renowned tomato/feta salad were excellent & specials of lamb or pork were very tasty. The complimentary plate of fruit & carafe of raki were a nice touch. It was interesting to... More

Had a dinner there for my wife birthday and it has been all disapointment. The view is really nice but thats basically all about the place. The menu is really limited in options and it was quite hard to find something appealing. Went for tomatoe salad with cheese, ok. Portobello mushrooms, watery and probably frozen. Shrimp pasta, bland and watery... More

After a wonderful wedding ceremony at Agioi Apostoli, the 165 guests of Georgia and Dimitris headed for "Nykterida", a restaurant that, although established in 1933, had not had a TripAdvisor entry until this moment! Well, it is nearly impossible to convey the utter pleasures we all experienced for almost five hours by a superb menu that was executed in a... More

The location and views from this old established restaurant are excellent. Unfortunately the food is less impressive and poor value for money

Very nice view but little else. The quality of plates is uneven with some crucial details missing. The wine list is interesting. Service is reasonable. Prices are high for what it is on offer.
