We eat at the Duck every time we visit Norfolk and can honestly say have never had a bad meal. This was no exception. A delicately flavoured courgette, pea and mint risotto to start - a starter portion thoughtfully served on two plates by the...More

The Duck Inn at Stanhoe is well worth visiting if you are in North Norfolk - but do book. Menu is not huge but choice is good - although it looked a little thin for vegetarians (no one in our party was.)

We were recommended to eat here by friends who had been earlier this year. It's advisable to book in advance which we did but it's clearly a very popular place. We were offered a table at 6.30 on a Saturday night which had to be...More

We had a leisurely Monday lunch at this award winning Inn. We sat outside with a cool drink whilst perusing the excellent menu and specials. It was a very hot day and once our order had been taken we retreated to the garden seating area...More

We rebooked for a Tuesday night dinner after the Duck were so busy on the Sunday we couldn't eat when we wanted to. Dinner was simply sublime. A cut above (and more) other gastro pubs in the North Norfolk area. Service was attentive and relaxed...More

My wife and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary with dinner here. I had the lamb dish and my wife had the hake for the main course. My meal was excellent and my wife passed on to the chef that it was the best fish...More

We went to lunch to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the service is good. The meal was good, though I felt the lunch time menu was rather restricted.

We have visited the Duck several times before and have usually found the food service presentation and atmosphere well above average hence the overall rating. On this occasion we visited on a hot Summer evening and although we had booked a table asked to sit...More

Great food, great people, great service and a classy, homely feeling to the Duck Inn. I had driven passed the pub a couple of times after an event at Holkham Hall and the garden looked lovely in the sun so I decided to stop in....More

Hi Yes, we allow dogs in our bar area indoors only and outside in our lovely garden. Weather permitting of course. Unfortunately we don't allow dogs upstairs as we only have the two letting rooms. Still best to book in... More

An award winning rustic-smart gastropub, serving the best in local produce and East Anglian ales. Friendly and efficient service perfectly compliment the incredible food served up by chef patron Ben Handley and his team. Norfolk favourites such as Brancaster crab, steaming bowls of Norfolk mussels, locally-smoked salmon with gingerbread are regular highlights; along with Chef Handley’s famous black pudding-scotched quail’s eggs. Sundays' roasts of local pork and Holkham Estate beef are widely regarded as the best along the coast. With two stylish bedrooms; there is always the option to enjoy a wonderful evening meal and super wines from the varied wine list, before staggering upstairs to unwind under the snuggly duck-down duvets. Booking is always essential.
