Great value and warm and cosy place to eat in . The trip advisor shows the shop is up the hill, it is NOT, is down the bottom of the hill near the market plaice , pun intended

Visited Cromford yesterday and found this restaurant which serves absolutely gorgeous gluten free battered fish and chips (in my case with mushy peas) - heaven! Not only that, it's available every opening day too! The staff were lovely and friendly, the fish was cooked to order and the portion was listed as small but was to my eyes, enormous. What's... More
one of the most friendly and nicest tasting fish and chip shops I've been too, fish is cooked to order and the chips are out of this world. if your in the area and they are open well worth the visit.
Great place to visit (now Wellington Fish Bar) - been five times now having discovered they do gluten free fish and chips. Really warm welcome on every occasion - first was take out and remainder were dine in. Great taste (the curry sauce is a perfect consistency) and you can choose from cod haddock and plaice. Pies / sausages /... More
Having passed many times on my way up Cromford hill so this evening I popped into this "chippy" and the owner was so friendly , I never realised they have a resturant too. Spotlessly clean and so well set out . I will recommend 100%!
We have been going to Wellingtons Fish and Chip Shop at Cromford for over 5 years now. The fish and chips is excellent and they even do gluten free batter ! All fish is freshly cooked to order. They also have tables so you can eat your fish and chips in the cafe if you prefer.
I pass at least a couple of times a month and had long promised myself a visit. Last Monday I stopped and could not have been more delighted. Firstly I was pleased to see that fish is cooked to order, I asked for a large piece of Cod. It was firm, moist and just beautifully white and tasty in a... More
We've had fish n chips from here for years. Always friendly. The fish tastes fresh, chips reliable, prices fair. They do mint sauce for mushy peas - delicious - you don't get that down south!
Not the cheapest place to eat, although VERY affordable. Quaint little tea shoppe type of place where every item of food is cooked to perfection and plenty of food per helping. Whether out for a family dy out or hiking the Derbyshire Dales this would be a place I would recommend to visit when feeling hungry
