It's so great to know that Warung Saya is back! Moving out from Ubud to Dalung is totally a big step for Amier, the owner...KUDOS for his consistency of the foods taste, service and the ambience, you still feels Ubud vibes even its in Dalung!
The new location is in Jalan Raya Tuka No.14, Dalung where you may easily find it through google map as its in front of main road, the area is getting popular where lots of villas, hostels are surrounds and its around 15 minutes to Canggu area by motorbike. The owner, Amier might see that opportunity and decided to moved from Ubud to Dalung, where he believes this area is super promising!
Back to the foods....hmmmm....once again, it never fails to make my tummy happy :)
The price is so reasonable, the service is super as Amier will be always there to entertain while he's busy preparing your foods from the scratch!
Tips : its always better to place your order and to reserve one day before to make sure your foods will be ready and fresh once you're there! But you may come directly as well to enjoy his yummy Nasi campur (mixed rice).
The good thing is all foods are non MSG (sssttt...he has his own magic recipe :) )
While you're nearby Dalung area, make sure to come and visit Warung Saya as you won't be disappointed with the taste, service and ambience!
Till we meet again, Amier! Missing your foods indeed!!!

We went there, searched for a while, but when we finally arrived, there were three men there who told us that Amier, the owner and cook, has moved to Kuta

Very quirky restaurant where the food was bought from the market on the day so very fresh. We would highly recommend this experience you must book and order your meal one or two days before as only takes 6 people at the time.

I cannot imagine staying in Ubud and not eating at Warung Saya. Visiting Amier's home and having him cook up a storm for me is a seminal Ubud experience - and an indescribably delicious one at that!
Don't forget to call and order ahead - as Amier will buy fresh ingredients that day according to what you order. The most wonderful food cooked with love, and served to you in Amier's home - how very fortunate we are to be able to experience this bespoke dining opportunity!!!
Thank you again Amier - already dreaming of my next Warung Saya experience!

Adorable place! Calm and fresh warung with own style and atmosphere. Food is fresh and delicious! Raw and GF options for desserts. Awesome hot herbal teas. Go and try it! Oh, almost forgot to mention that prices are very reasonable.

Just when I thought the Warung Saya experience couldn't get any more wonderful - IT HAS!!!
In both of his previous locations, you always had the sense that this was your special invitation into your eccentric Indonesian uncle's home! But now...it's actually a reality!!
Master cook/one-man-show Amier has actually moved the restaurant into his home!! What an incredible idea - the logical extension of what his already been doing so utterly brilliantly for the past few years!
Serving up food made with abundant love, passion and flavour. Only the best ingredients, so full of fragrant goodness - this is about as far from a bland experience you're likely to find anywhere on the island!
As always, i ordered my favourites - Chicken Mysore and Badal Jaam Eggplant - both taste sensations! And as the only diner the experience of actually being invited over to dinner was very very real!
Thrilled to find out he's also doing lunches, which means enjoying his fabulous view as well!
And...he's planning to do a Sunday banquet (if you're lucky enough to be a group of 5 or more) - hope I haven't let the cat (or in this case, small cute fluffy dog) out of the bag! 😉🐶
Anyway booking in advance crucial, as he will shop for the fresh ingredients especially for your lunch or dinner.
This is an absolutely seminal part of my Ubud experience, and Amier is nothing less than a treasure.

I had the best birthday meal at Warung Saya! Amier is the nicest guy and puts all of his heart into his food!
Although a little hard to find, head to ANGGREK Mas Galeri and he is situated down in the houses behind. Being hard to find this gem is all part of the experience. His concept is for you to eat amazing food but feel at home and that we did.
Thank you for a lovely evening! Everything about this place is amazing! The food was the best and he even gave us a little taster of another dish he was cooking!
Go exploring and find this place!

The venue had moved to his house, so it was a little hard to find - best to get to the big service station and then give him a call (it's only a couple of doors down from there). There's no signage so he really needs to meet you out the front.
You pre-order your food when you book, and the food is spectacular. Honestly, some of the best food we had when we were there. Super fresh and incredibly tasty.
He was still setting things up, so no doubt it's a bit more sorted out now, but it was still beautiful. Just remember to take some insect repellant as there were a few mozzies about.

I can only dream of producing a Basal Jam (Bali Eggplant dish) that is so full of rich flavors and that is such a treat to the taste buds! My wife Pat and I went to Warung Saya on the recommendation of a good friend and we were not disappointed! Ameir produces magic in his small kitchen that brings out the flavor and rich taste of his dishes. Cooking is a passion for Ameir - he only has a handful of unique dishes on offer each day and does an incredible job of them! His Green Curry is incredible! Make sure that you book ahead as Warung Saya has limited seating and Ameir buys his ingredients fresh from the Ubud market each day! We will be dreaming of our return to Warung Saya and Ameir incredible food!

Small, no menus nor wait staff. Delicious food of the day prepared by the owner and sumptuous servings. A treat that must be tasted to believe. It's like sitting in the dining room of your childhood home waiting for a nourishing meal and anticipating great conversation. It happens at Warung Saya!

We came here late one night - we didn't realise how early everything in Ubud shut when we first arrived. We asked if we could eat, and we were kindly welcomed by the owner. He was so friendly. We were absolutely famished and ordered the Chicken Masala and an Aubergine dish from the Indian menu.
The owner chatted to us for a bit and showed us his dog Princess, and a photo album of her in a range of dresses that he made for her! Pretty entertaining to say the least.
He then went off and we could hear him chopping things up - he was making our entire meal from scratch. We sat and chatted as we watched people walk down the street, and after a while our food came. I put some white rice down and the masala on top, and my first bite was absolute bliss. The white rice was cooked perfectly - a lot of Balinese rice is quite dry, but he had steamed the rice so it was nice and moist, whilst retaining the flavour. The masala was to die for - it was so creamy and the chicken in it was so tender and full of flavour. The owner mentioned that he never uses frozen ingredients and buys fresh only, which is why the flavour was so much better than in other restaurants.
The eggplant dish was beautiful as well - the eggplant was stuffed with a tomato based sauce and garnished with Jeera powder and some yoghurt.
I had no idea I'd come to Bali to have an insanely tasty Indian dinner, but I did and I was so pleased that I did. Thank you so much!
There was also an Indonesian and Thai menu, though we didn't try any of the dishes on there. Price wise it was very decent as well (can't remember exactly, but it was good).

You will not like this restaurant if decor and ambiance are the prime criteria for your dining experience. Warung Saya is a hole in the wall with only four tables. However if you want a truly outstanding meal then it will be worth your trouble to find this place and make a reservation in advance of your meal. The menu is all Asian but includes Indian, Thai and Balinese dishes. Our party of four each had a different dish and the reviews were all outstanding.
Warung Saya is a one man show. As a previous reviewer has noted: "Amier is the host, the chef, the waiter, and the personality behind the whole experience." After dinner he entertained us with hilarious stories about his past adventures.
As others have noted the restaurant can be hard to find. It is on a tiny side street off the main street. Walking from the Ubud Palace go east on Jalan Raya Ubud one block past Jalan Hanoman and turn right. It is just past a tattoo parlor.
You need to remember that arrangements including your menu choices have to be made in advance as Amier goes to market each day with that night's reservations in mind. Everything is fresh: nothing from the freezer or out from under a heat lamp. It's the real deal.
Highly recommended.

Visited Warung Saya after hearing a good review - it didn't let us down. If you want fine dining this is not the place for you. What you get here is amazing flavours and a chef with passion! The owner takes your order and reservations days before and gets all the ingredients fresh. He makes everything from scratch just a few meters from your table. The chicken curry is to dye for. Definitely an experience worth having.
