The decor is nothing amazing but the view of the beach makes up for it. Food is tasty and inexpensive. Special mention goes to the tomato spaghetti, Tom Yum and the ice cream deserts. Recommended.

The Tam Mai has become our favourite restaurant for dinner over the past 3 years. Waitresses there are very attentively. Tables are very clean, we have brought our kid here since he was 3 years old, never had any problems so far. The atomsphere is very friendly and the young owners do a really great job. The food is very good. Every order results in a breeze of chili and/or garlic from the kitchen which promises a spicy and delicious meal. While other restaurants are more focussed on sea food in ban krut, the Tam Mai rather serves traditional dishes. I though recommend the crossover dishes like spaghetthi with red od green curry with sea food. The ice cream they serve here is absolutely trustworthy and delicious.

This was our almost every day dinner place in ban krut and never disappointed. Good food with nice personnel and liked a lot ice cream desserts as an ice cream fan. Just next to the beach which was good since it was quite warm weather and sea provided little refreshning wind blows.

We have visited this restaurant several times over the past couple of years. The food is beautiful, the price is great and even the beer is cheap! The menu is very extensive and the dishes always look like the pictures on the menu which makes it very easy to order. They also have great ice cream deserts and also very cheap compared to other towns and cities. Certainly worth stopping to try this place...you won't be disappointed. Also very friendly staff and free wi fi.

Stayed in Baan Grood again this year and we came here at least 6 times during our 14 night stay, the menu is in English and has pictures which is a great help as Baan Grood caters mostly for Thais which adds to a nice feeling to the resort but it can be a bit difficult to understand the menus in some of the resturants. Every meal we had here was excellent, dishes rangeing from 40 bht for rice with various currys or meat or sea food (which at these prices you could use as a tasting menu which is what I did some times) up to I think the most expensive which was about 200 for big prawns. Its your typical Thai type place mix and match furnishing (plastic, wooden and stone) but that is what we like. I think that the most we paid was about 450 bht for a spring roll starter, 3 mains, 2 steamed rice, 2 large changs and a small bottle of Sang Som (Thai rum) with a bottle of coke!!! You cannot beat that and as I have said the food was lovely. We call the owner or the guy who runs the place laughing boy cos when he smiles he has a big white toothy smile. A great place that the kitchen does not close till10pm (which is late for Baan Grood) ,we will definitely be going here again if we come to Baan Grood next year.

My family and i have spent so many evenings in this restaurant and NEVER been disappointed. Thats a fact. The menu is in English, Thai menus are off course available. The seating is in two parts. One for more dining and one for drinks and ice-cream. Never tried the ice-cream but many local did and almost every evening people stopped by to take some cool drink or ice-cream. Food is really great. We have tried lots of our fave thai food and I can tell you all taste so nice and fresh. Try their excellent red curry with chicken, Garlic pepper chicken and off course Wonderful Phad Thai. All to very good prices. Drink off course a cold beer from their fridge taste like heaven in a hot Thailand evening. If you pass Baan Grood or Ban Krut that some people call this village south of Hua Hin take a dinner at Tam Mai and I can assure you not to go disappointed.
