Tucked away off the beaten track, this converted farm house exudes warmth and comfort, specialising in local, seasonal and homemade, including the tasty bread and pasta. The menu is fixed, allowing close attention to every dish, of which there were several! The standout dish was a wonderful pumpkin and gorgonzola risotto. The servings were nicely balanced, but I gladly took... More

We had already heard a lot about this Agriturisme and it is really good. Food was excellent and special. Staff and service quick and friendly. Warm atmosphere. Excellent wines of all types. To return also for special occasions and with special guests. To be recommended.

I have had the pleasure of staying and eating (some of the most delicious food Italy has to offer) at La Capuccina for a number of years. This year I was fortunate enough to be able to celebrate my wedding at La Capuccina with the wonderful Gian Luca and Raffaella. Everything was absolute perfection from the gorgeous canapes to the... La Capuccina is in a set of beautiful old buildings and the food is sensational. There is no choice and you are presented with dish after dish of great local quality. Local wines are excellent and cheap. Considering the ambience, the standard of cooking and the quantity of food, it is very modestly priced.

Stayed 5 nights here. This is a really nice Agriturismo, still with farming activities going, so not an old farm rebuild to a hotel or bed & breakfast. Very nice charming setting, spacey room (2 adults, @ teens). Breakfast is served inside or on the lovely terrace, fresh bread and pastry, local products, great start of the day. We also had... More

This was my first visit to an agriturismo and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is rustic but very comfortable - an ideal setting for a meal in which nearly everything comes from the same land you're sitting on. The bread is even made in-house. The menu is pre-set but due to a few dietary restrictions, the chef had no... More

Restaurant is open on selected nights, but when it's open it's packed, not a table available. It's a set menu, usually 5 courses, everything comes from the region so it's very fresh. Dishes are nicely prepared and sized and all have wonderful spices and ingredients. Restaurant has been constantly redesigning and it's looks great. Gonna stay here next year again... More

The ideal agriturismo - country/farm tranquility but close to the towns/cities around Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore. Good location from which to explore the area around Novara and other Italian Lakes. Would recommend the town closest to La Capuccina, Borgomanero. Great restaurant there. Ask Rafaella for the name. The rooms with names of local vines, are at ground level and... More
