Had an early dinner there- 2 of us shared a pizza and the third person had the Prosciutto wrapped Eye Fillet, which she asked to be cooked rare. Our pizza, the Asante Della Carne, arrived on a beautiful base with a generous serving of the Ham, salami, pork & fennel sausage and mozzarella. The eye fillet was apparently cooked to perfection and the accompanying asparagus and Gorgonzola purée was also very pleasing. The wines and beer were not overly expensive and the service was pleasant and attentive.

My husband and I walked up and down Duke St, checking out the menus - most places were packed, crowded and noisy - we didn't want that. Also my husband was going VEGAN for the month of January so we had to be particular about the menu. The wait staff lady at Fratellini invited us in (nobody else at the other places even noticed us standing reading their menus!) and was VERY accommodating re: my husband's menu choices. So it was the obvious choice to dine there for the evening!

This place has been in Sunshine Beach for decades but I tried it for the first time last night.
Busy place with nice ambiance and attentive and friendly staff.
I selected a pasta dish recommended by my friend. It was priced just below $30 and was nice BUT it was only an entree size, I left the place hungry!!!
The place is licensed and very expensive, we tasted the house wine but was not good even at $39 so we got a Chianti from Italy at $49 and to be honest I can buy a better wine from Dan Murphy for around $5 or $6.

Just ordered take away it was awful we have had three takeaways from here and the first two were good. Tonight was awful twice cut chips at $15 were undercooked and there were 12 chips in the plastic container . Pizza was soggy and not very nice. Very disappointing we paid $54 for the meal and the only happy person was the dog!

As a local we have tried Fratellini’s a few times over the years and have always been disappointed. However we thought we would give it another try......bad decision. The service was dreadful and my husband’s lamb salad was just about the worst meal we have ever been served in a restaurant, large lumps of tough lamb sitting on a bag of lettuce with a few olives and tomatoes thrown in, and some olive oil on top. It was inedible, I don’t think I could serve something this bad from my own kitchen. My spaghettini was tasteless and very disappointing. When we complained we were told this was the way they served the dish and the manager wasn’t working, there was nothing they could do. So they have no customer service on a Friday night. We will never set foot in this restaurant again.

I do not often write reviews, however the service, food and overall general dining experience is something I feel obliged to share. DO NOT GO HERE if you would like friendly or efficient service, or even nice food for that matter.
Met up with friends for a catch up. Took 50 minutes after we ordered to receive our coffees. The meal took over an hour after we ordered to arrive.
Set aside the slow service of drinks and food, the staff are just rude. Knocking your chair as they go by and carrying food over your head is unacceptable.
The food was also below average.
As a local, I will never go back here again.
As for COVID-19 requirements, I saw one staff member wearing a mask, the rest were not, including the kitchen staff. There is no QR code to scan upon entry, no QR code at your table. No hand sanitizer. No social distancing.
With so many amazing restaurants on the Sunshine Coast, skip this one and give another deserving restaurant your business.

I’ve eaten here on several occasions and each time the food has been exceptional. The quality and the servings have been generous and well prepared. The service is friendly and understated but attentive.
The Crab Spaghettini is tasty and satisfying, the Eye fillet was exceptional, melt in the mouth plate lickingly excellent, the Bosciolla was sublime. This restaurant is a great place in an excellent location. Andrew the owner is vibrant and attentive without being over the top
His chef serves sublime food and I’ve never had a bad meal here in the 3 years I’ve been frequenting the wonderful establishment.

Chose this cafe for breakfast and maybe should have chosen another.
Just a basic breakfast of bacon and eggs was disappointing. From cold hard toast (served with no butter at all) to overcooked eggs made the additional 15% public holiday surcharge a little unworthy.
Tho the French waiter tried his best to give us good service.
Considering not many other diners, the long wait time for our coffees then meals was just another reason we would def not rate this place as an ideal place to go for breaky.
Stay home n cook breakfast instead.

Being a local and having visited this restaurant on many occasions, I have to say our latest experience was so disappointing. Potentially the old guy who handles the wine pouring and the bills most likely needs to review if he is suited to hospitality. Maybe his son should step up and take over as he was way more friendly. Went to pay the bill and asked to pay for a portion - he just said no split bills and that was it. He proceeded to give me the bill and say 'work it out' and come back to me. He didn't even know what table I was part of and instead handed me someone else's bill. Much cheaper than our tables I might add. When I went back with the incorrect bill, he advises they can have split payments - well this would have been a much nicer reply to start with. When I advised he was rude about it, he did not even care and challenged me with 'I am not rude'. You need to take a look in the mirror and either take a break or get out of the industry. Come the 28th the tourists will be gone and you will be back to caring about your locals. Just a shame that we dined before this date.

Thanks to Andrew and his team for putting together an amazing meal which we enjoyed at home in isolation. The food was was exceptional, but after some confusion with Uber Eats, Andrew took care of everything with no fuss and we were able to enjoy a family meal and small celebration. This level of service is rare and truly what sets Fratelli’s apart from others. Thank you!

Food was good. But after answering a call at my table, I was yelled at across a bar, that we need to take calls outside. WHICH I respect, if approached appropriately, he (I believe the owner or manager) was extremely rude to us, considering we are a younger couple. He yelled across a bar which we still complied yet adress whilst paying the $100 bill, politely asking next time to be adress at the table to avoid embarrassment and overall have a good experience to which I had the reply “baby this isn’t McDonald’s”. Super unhappy. Won’t book OR reccomend for any younger couple hoping to have a nice enjoyable dinner out.

So I understand that life in COVID world has put stress and strain on people, businesses and maybe 2021.. in January is not as it should be
Our kids are to be fair PIZZA critics, we do enjoy a great pizza with flavour and interesting topings... tonight... an extreme disappointment.
It may be harsh and maybe there is an explanation that has resulted in a collision of COVID, lockdowns, New Year, maybe new staff who knows
In the past we have delighted in the food at Fratellini... pizza well not sure the chef knows what he or she is doing, the base really wasn’t up to it, we will give them one more go.. and let you know

Our French waitress was lovely, and 2 out of 3 of our meals were nice but they completely ruined the gluten free pasta dish. The pasta was over cooked and the bolognaise sauce was watery. It was easy to compare as we had a normal bolognaise and a GF bolognaise dish. The GF dish was not edible.
The 15% surcharge for the holiday period was ridiculous. The day we dined wasn’t a public holiday. The prices are over the top for mediocre food.
No apology or offer of a discount for the terrible GF food but they offered to package it up so we could take it home.
Needless to say we won’t be going back and if you are GF, don’t bother you will spend a fortune and will leave hungry.

We were staying in Sunshine Beach for the week. Went to this restaurant twice. The first time the staff were extremely friendly and professional. Great with the kids and brilliant service. Returned tonight for our second time and seemed the owner was present as there was someone constantly raising his voice to staff, belittling them in front of patrons, yelling to the kitchen about issues. We had an early reservation having a little one and through the main you could here the owner openly say that our table needed to be available. Why I know this, he was pointing at us while he was saying this and even though we ordered deserts, the bill came to our table before we received deserts and the waitress apologised for what had occurred. You could continue hearing the owner making comment that our table needed to be available. The staff were amazing, food/ chefs are exceptional. It’s just unfortunate that the behaviour of this man had such a negative impact on our evening. Even when paying the bill he was rude and abrupt. Unfortunate as the staff and food are really good. If you wish to support a man that treats people and patrons this way, take your chances. Thank you

In 13 years of owning Fratellini I have never served such a rude and obnoxious person. You were so rude the first night - as the table we provided was not your preference even though that had been booked days in advance - that your son apologised for your poor behaviour.
As I said to you the 2nd night and will repeat again now you are no longer welcome at my restaurant and I pity the other restaurants you dine at.
You bring the worst out in any restaurant owner and customers like you we do not need. Funny how everyone else raves about Fratellini except those that come in unhappy!!!
Go and take your negativity elsewhere and ask my staff who have worked for me some for 10 years and some for 8 years how well they are looked after - they wouldn’t work for me for that long if they weren’t happy.
You are a very sad man.

Not a lot of good to say about our dinner tonight at this restaurant. The pizzas were not cooked properly. Crust was hard as cardboard and the middle doughy and not cooked. You can tell they have not let the dough rest and develop. The pasta was worse, over cooked and the sauces that we had (we ordered three different pastas) were not developed and had been thrown together and had no favour. If you are going to charge $40 for a pasta, it has to be enjoyable and edible. Very disappointing and I would NOT recommend anyone eating at this restaurant.
