It is so lovely to visit a place like Maids of honour and experience real traditional afternoon tea. I really haven't found anywhere else to get the same experience. The selection of delicious treats make it almost impossible to choose, made even better by the fact everything is made on the premises so there's no doubting the freshness! The staff... More

Do not visit this venue. We booked in person for a group of 8, birthday tea for elderly parents, including siblings & 2 very well behaved grandchildren. On the day we were squashed into a very small seating area which was an issue as elderly parent is disabled - owner knew this as we went to view the restaurant previously... More

Stopped in after rain interrupted visit to Kew Gardens. Cozy but packed during our visit. Proper scones! Not chalky or over sweet. The Maids of Honour tarts were delicious.

On our son's recommendation we stopped here for tea after a visit to Kew Gardens. It proved to be a perfect end to a happy afternoon. A friendly welcome, prompt service even though they were very busy, an actual cup and saucer instead of a polystyrene mug and a wide choice of tea and cakes. All beautifully presented with delicate... More

I had my birthday lunch with friends today. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. The maids of honour at the end of our meal were freshly made and delicious. Everything here is home made and I would highly recommend.

We stopped here for breakfast and had a very enjoyable and leisurely experience. One of the other reviewers complained of very slow service, we found the service to be just right for us. The surroundings are traditional and interesting with a log fire burning and traditional Tea Cups and were delighted that we were not rushed through out breakfast as... More

There is a richness of character combined with down to earth owners and staff. To me it feels like going to your gran mothers house where you get lots of tea and delicious great quality wholesome foods and good portions. Super tastey quiches and sausages rolls. Light fluffy scones and wide selection of cakes.

Very peculiar place. Cosy. The food was delicious. I particularly advise for the steak pie. Interesting the similarity between the Maids of Honour' cakes and the typical Portuguese Pastel de Nata, but very different taste..
